The Enell sport bra is very pricey but effective. However, I still wear two. Regular bra then Enell on top. Used to be regular bra and Shock Absorber on top. I'm 34G - used to be 34H.

I am a 32h and wear an under wired sports bra, bravissimo own make and I find it fine even for running. This is definitely the best I have had, and have had loads over the years
  • I'm normally a 34DD but actually found a 34E shock absorber to be the best by far - I even wear it if I'm doing something 'more gentle' like pilates [I find pilates quite a tough workout tbh!]. Must've been through 5 or 6 different brands before finding this one, beware the different styles though within the same brand - they don't all give the same type of support so you really need to try lots on. I did star jumps and jogged on the spot in the changing rooms, ahem.

My wife read this and checked out their catalogue. Her main gripe about wearing two normal sports bars is that she gets an unflattering squashed monoboob.

Alas, they don't make them in the small band sizes.

Calley: Amplebosom.com are a fantastic company whose bras I have been buying for 20 years. My best sports bras are Anita, and Triumph Doris (not strictly a sports bra but great support, and cotton). They both come in sizes much bigger than 40E (I wear a bigger size than that!)

Worth going to Bravissimo and getting a fitting. I find their sizing a bit off compared to others. And the fitting ladies are super lovely - helpful and not at all embarrassing. (Unlike my M&S experiences)

I would recommend Bravissimo for sports bras generally, they carry a few different brands (Freya, Panache), and I prefer the underwired. I run. However my sister who takes a much bigger size than me says that for her they are great for a couple of months and then they just "break" - nature of breakage unspecified.

Probably a good idea. That’s where she gets her everyday bras. She can go her own though. Last time I went with her and sat outside for what seemed like hours. The monotony relieved at intervals by her coming out ask what I thought. A tad embarrassing for me and the other couple of waiting husbands who were desperately trying not to look... or not look like they were looking.

100% give Booband a go, its basically a strap you wear with your sports bra but it counteracts the bonce.

    best money i ever spent

As a lass built with a scoop, I struggle to find sportgear that copes with my wide-but-short form. Two bras intially seemed madness (what Double the chafing?! & laundry), but one to grip & one to discourage the jounce makes sense.

Looking at the booband promotion chat I confess I like the "Designed to reduce vertical and lateral movement of the breasts during sporting activities; increasing comfort, performance and confidence" comment.

Many thanks for the supportive encouragement!
