Regular Saver Thread **New and Restarted**

I received this at end of application for 170th Birthday Savings Account.

"Thank you for your application. We may contact you in the next few days to complete any remaining steps to open your account."

But I did notice that the details which you could not change despite putting in correct answers showed incorrectly that I was not a UK resident and did not have another bank account so something in system must reject you if you are outside postal area.

Have opened the issue 16 esaver though as at 1.29% it is paying higher than the esaver 11 which pays 1.01%

This account is very good as you could put up to £1000 a month. It is equivalent to 0pen 4No £250 RSA paying 2,5% Interest.

What is approximate waiting time the ac will appear on the online banking ??

I got this as well and decided at this stage not to proceed.

Virgin in store today confirmed a new RS on Thursday (1 August) on the same terms as currently, and were making appointments for it.

Can't believe I might be first with this info so apologies if I missed it here.

Yes I have a regular saver with them already so when the regular saver matures I will have an account with them to built up being a customer with them as some require 6 months membership

Well let see, do not hold your breath. It might be the same thing when the system allow people to apply multiple RSAs online a while ago and later cancel it.

I am still waiting mine to be canceled.

Indeed. This on the application would seem quite explicit (even if the IT DOES allow the application).

1st of Aug and no sign of a new issue of *cough*.
Maybe they have stopped new issues every couple of months?
