There will be a new regular saver at Nottingham Building Society from Friday 5th July 2.50% interest £250 per month.
If it follows the same format as usual it will be branch only for opening and run for approx 18 months to maturity.0 -
TSB as feeder sadly only paying 3% interest now...I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0

Not as sad as Santander, Marcus, Bank of Scotland, etc.
3% is excellent for a current account; don't knock it.0 -
It's basically the same as the Sunshine Regular Saver which launched in June 2018 and runs until November 2019. I have this account. £200 a month at 2.3%, max. balance £3400. No withdrawals or early closure permitted. Was only available for a couple of weeks to a month from what I remember.0

I have had several previous Nottingham Regular Savers. I have succeeded in closing each of them by post, although this option was not spelled out in the T&C.0

Just sent a letter (with the pass book) to Head Office.0

Just sent a letter (with the pass book) to Head Office.
Thanks for the head up. I will try it again.
What about opening a branch only product. Do they allow you to apply by post if you just send application form to their head office together with check.
A few years ago I tried it, it was returned to me with a very nice letter (which embarrassed me) ?.
Does anyone successfully "open" a Nottingham BS branch only product by post sent to head office ??0 -

Further details now available,

2.5% variable interest
Maturity 28.2.21

I opened this in May with some trepidation but all going okay. Great customer service at Loughborough.
Can be opened by post by UK residents. No existing membership required. Save up to £500 per year (£6000 per annum) up to overall limit of £24000. Must save for 10months out of 12 to earn the interest rate of 3pc (variable). Two withdrawals of up to £500 each allowed per year. Can be closed without notice. Requirement to close only at Head Office can be met by post. No internet access to account. However balance can be checked by phone very easily, great staff deal with phone enquiries. I'm very happy.0 -
Apologies. Previous post refers to Loughborough BS Save to Buy account. £500 per year should read £500 per month.0
