Hi, I am sorry if I am posting in the wrong place. My mother-in-law is not getting enough from job seekers allowance to live. She is getting £20 per month which is outrageous! She has 2 kids (both over 21) who still live with her who are also on job seekers allowance. One doesnt get paid again for 20 days, the other is at…

Has she deductions for loans, etc?

Has she been sanctioned?

The UC housing element will include (non-dependant) deductions for the 2 adult children.
"Under Universal Credit rules there is a flat rate contribution (deduction) each month regardless of the non-dependant's income, for 2017/18 this is £70.06 a month.for each non-dependent"
2 * £70 + £140pm.
