:.....I shall be spending the christmas week at the 'rents and Mum has already asked me to sort out The Bedroom Cupboard of Doom and the linens, and I have volunteered to do some additional sorting in her bedroom, which she has seized up gleefull..................….Cannot wait!
:j:j:j looking forward to reading The Continued Adventures of GQ! :T
Today we took a bag of craft books and some Christmas decs over to the CS and have sorted out some hats, gloves and scarves for the night shelter.
DH finally agreed his too short, too tight winter pj jacket didn't fit and makes him grumpy (only took him 2 years to admit it!) so it went into the recycling bag. Result! On the odd days he feels slightly chilly - he is usually impervious to the cold -he can now happily wear a t-shirt .I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Three bags of stuff dropped off for the night shelter, and have started putting the CS collection together. I'm going to sort out the Christmas decorations as I put them up, so a few of them might make it in.0

Congratulations wee midgie.
I've treated myself to some new winter tights for work. So I'm off to sort through the tights and socks to see if any can go. I know that a few pairs of tights have holes and bobbles!!!Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
Many congrats Wee Midge - and to the new mummy and daddy too!
Wore some false nails to a party this weekend - ive a small drawer with spares and other bits and bobs and managed to kondo over half of it - especiaslly the dried up tubes of glue! It had escaped the bathroom kondoSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Another carload to the CS. Most of it from my SIL, but as I was going I said I'd take it. Not finding much stuff now, but I bet things will turn up!0

2 large cardboard boxes broken down for recycling this week. 1 cardboard box and 1 old cotton teatowel used for the coffin of 1 guinea pig who sadly died yesterday :(and has been buried in the pet cemetery in the garden (aka the strawberry patch)

Thanks everyone for the good wishes on becoming a granny. Mum, dad and babe are doing fine
My next task will be sending off a box containing my daughter's old Peter Rabbit and Bunnykins china, and a full set of Peter Rabbit books.
Ah, alas poor GP. Even the smallest creature who shares a life with us has a life worth marking with a decent burial. Great use of a cardboard box and tea towel, greent.
Looking forward to reading your updates from the homestead, GQ. The book recycling via kid bruv sounds very logical to me, similarly short of book storage space. I recirculate DVDs promptly too, with just a few keepers.0
