wires! huh! not started them yet but I decided to tackle some more of that room, head on. First was the dvd player, not used was in bedroom, now tv free in there. Cables for both already in a labelled box, ok, good. Dvd player with 2 cables hanging off, mmm, easy, I wrapped cables around and secured with non-sticky cling film via a packing roller. That set the scene and gave me oomph
Several boxes later, I am finished for lunch. I hid some things from sight in semi see through stacking shoe boxes, like the spinning dvds that cost a lot and for that am very grateful, to myself, for buying that great heavy pack of white wrapping paper. Next stage will just be gouge and tool sorting, I keep them in there so they don`t rust
I did surprise myself, not one single item is leaving, those 2 previous MK passes must have been good. Made this job relatively easy. I am gathering bits together as groups in boxes and the packer removers will still have enough to do in there, printer, books etc I am making an inventory as I pack, will make life much easier and everything is easily found if needed

I have been drowning in wires, mp3s, ipod, kindle, fire, samsung etc makita, universal, phone, oh so many all with different ends. I made diddy labels for the ends and put the archos on the laptop to look, well I never, the brain does forget, all those family photos, copied all over the place and sent to family but the archos backup! I have little sensa mp3s, old samsung mp3s. I almost threw the ipad wires out, oh stop!! I have an old ipod on a loudspeaker base, out of sight for now but I use it, it has a good sound
The junk wires are sitting in my half way out basket, once out then I would never find them again, so I wait until tomorrow. If I were a little old lady in a tiny little home, well I would have to throw most of this out. I am just not ready, yet. Maybe next time0 -
DH & I have been working in the garden in this lovely weather. I had a LBM for my greenhouse. Its only 6x 4 but keeps us in tomatoes and cucumbers during the summer. The cucumbers tend to grow like triffids and once they reach about 4ft high I'd jury rigged some mesh for them to cling to but it wasn't very successful. Remembered I'd got some spare tension rods that I'd used for my nets (changed to blinds) two of them expanded to 6ft and threaded through some plastic clematis mesh made an arch in the apex of the roof - lots of room for the cucumbers and some kibble out of the way.
Had a good go at the paperwork last night - the folder with all the car details has been shredded (car written off a few weeks ago) just kept a few bits of insurance details for Justin but if they're not needed by the end of the year they'll go.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
bigdug euro totes are arriving today and its a good day to finish off in the garage, I should think that this will be the `almost` last stage in there. I ordered medium sized number stickers from amazon, I have been putting numbers on the inside but these are not see through, for a reason. Inventory making is going well, as long as I stick with visible numbers or letters
I have 2 plastic crates with lids in the garage, the totes will replace those and tbh the crates will be perfect for garden stuff from the shed. definitely not a job until I am moving but I have to store the empty crates, maybe put packing materials in them for now
Kondo is stalled in that I am not finding much to put out any more, maybe one medium sized appliance but a final decsion on that tomorrow. I have 2 fire tablets, different sizes and one galaxy tablet, yes I know, I should let 2 go. I would not know which one to keep
edit: ooh it doesn`t half help just to utter the words on here. Half an hour later and I have decided to let the fire 7 go and I have de-rgistered from my amazon account. It is in a nice pink case with a nice pink screen pen and will go to dgd, who will love it. Galaxy will likely be the one to go next as it is the oldest. Some choices are quite tough but necessary0 -
Hint I was given for wires and cables - put them in toilet roll holders with the name of the appliance on it. Stops them from tangling and means you can store them neatly and find the one you want!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Silvasava, I liked that idea and tried it a few years ago, but husband didn't like the idea of toilet rolls around his precious wires, so he threw them all out....Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590

I'm at the parental homestead today (otherwise known as the target-rich environment
). There is so much Stuff here that I could be fully-employed as a kondo-ista.
Spent over an hour handwashing woollens which are now finishing drying outside and another hour with Mum at the kitchen table emptying eleven button tins out. She's picked out what she wants to keep which is the equivalent of half of one tin, and I have filled 14 glass coffee jars with lovely buttons which are going bootsaling. I think they will prove popular.
Other than that, have been sitting around outside in the warm weather squealing occasionally as Wild Thing (daffier of the two parental mogs) tries to bit my toes. Daft beggar.
Back to my regular life tomorrow...........Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

garden kondo was massively worthwhile :j a big reduction of plants in pots and I stuck to less fussy plants close to the house. The whole of the back is tiered hard planting, all pots and raised beds. Used to take 14 large watering cans from my water butts, today they had a full watering because the wind was so drying, 7 cans. Upside is less chance of shoulder aches and the water in butts will last twice as long and oh yes, far far quicker0

Trip to recycle centre to day - cardboard boxes. Broken plastic boxes and other hard plastic including a bin bag of plant pots into the hard plastic skip no less
and another bin bag to the CS. 3 largeish items have gone through fr**cycle plus some unwanted unloved plants in pots. All good. Friends around tonight and OH back tomorrow from his extreme sport week away..........his clutter is now becoming more obvious!!

Ive had an 'in' today - a steam mop for my kitchen/breakfast room/utility and bathrooms. I can get down on my hands and knees to wash them but have to psyche myself up to do it lol! Had a play with it and fallen in love with it - good reviews and I managed to get a heavily discounted one on fleabay - it mas marked as used but everything looks brand new - maybe bankrupt stock?
Small bag of CS bits gradually expanding. Had a shoe cull - 3 pairs of sandals. Some bits for ragging. Just going to attack a small ple of mending/alterations that will repurpose a few items.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
