Use Resolver - Carpetright are one of the companies they deal with.

Can be more effective than going direct to the company, and simpler.

    Just google Resolver.

PS Use a local independent shop, not this horrendous chain store.

I'm starting to think Carpetright are reading this!
Macman suggested "Hold out for the upgrade at the original cost", and without my contacting them, Carpetright rang me and offered me an upgrade at the original cost.

    How uncanny!

I used to, but it cost me double. I replace this carpet about every 3 years so it really mounts up.

Thanks everyone. I feel really cared about whenever I post on here and can tap into all the knowledge, experience and consumer rights activism!

Firstly, so many posters in here get advice and are miserably ungrateful for it when it isn't what they want to here. So thanks for actually acknowledging that there is the odd helpful post.

I guess it depends on your local independent shop but mine are happy to match the sheds or get very close, plus they tend to have people who have worked in the carpet industry for years and actually know their product. Also more likely to stock a product which would last you, for example, 9 years. Therefore cheaper than the sheds even if twice the price.
