Last leg delay

I am claiming for a party returning from Bangkok, delayed for over 24 hours at Cologne before the final leg to Stansted. Euro/GermanWings have approved €250 each, but I had expected €600. It was a single booking, London - Bangkok return, all with the one airline (for all its different names). Am I wrong in thinking we should get €600 each?
Clearly London Bangkok is in the top distance category and the delay did make it a gruelling journey with an icy stay in hot weather clothes. Even the delayed flight was further delayed due to stressed passengers! They have not quibbled about my expense claims or their liability, just the distance element. If I accept their €250, will that shut down my claim for €600? They have only asked for bank details to make payment.
I can't find anything definitive on your site or in the forum so far, sorry if I missed something. I used your template letter and felt at the time that the whole booking defined the distance claim rather than just the delayed last leg.
Thanks

Yes you are probably correct, Germanwings does seem to be eurowings as all bookings are done through the eurowings website. If you made a single booking to get from bangcock to London then you due the 600. Germanwings are probably trying it on the hope you take what they offer. Resist and push for the full amount. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
