I was paying £35 per month for 500mins and unlimited texts. I managed to haggle quite hard and pushed for a sim-only deal as am happy with my current W810i.

I got them down to £25 per month and also a £110 credit on my account which equates to £15.80 per month. On a 12month contract.

    I was pleased :)
  • Does anyone know whether Orange will always price match?

I've been with Orange for years and also have another contract with them in my name for my partner.

I've seen a deal on the internet (mobiles.co.uk) that says it's with Orange for a samsung U600 on Dolphin 35 (500 mins unlimited texts) and it's half price for full 18 month period.

When I've contacted Orange they've said that they can only offer this deal for £20 per month. The only thing different is the colour of the phone (I want the purple and offer on site is pink). It's not worth extra £2.50 per month just for paint job. If a website can offer this deal surely Orange can directly?

With regard to OP, why would you want do debrand, would it be to sell it on?

The deal you get offered is based almost wholly on your usage. The computer shows the cs staff what they can offer you and for how much depending on your 'worth as a customer'. Retentions have a similar system with a bit or wriggle room, but not much. If the offer isn't displayed then they can't offer it to you.
