There is a lot in the news about whether or not they should be bailed out? Should it be left to fail? What are peoples thoughts?0

Banks, creditors and shareholders need to take the hit. Before any Government involvement. Likewise directors and senior management have to fall on their sword's. Then a turn around team brought in. A failing company may simply be badly run.
Be in administration next week. I would guess.0 -
They were never the same after Fish left.0

Will Kier Group take over the contracts if they do go bust?0

Absolutely useless firm.
They took over the facilities management duties at my Government establishment a couple of years back and it’s been a disaster.
This clueless Tory Government needs to wean itself off the Thatcherite dogma that perpetuates firms like these getting anywhere near taxpayers money. Talk now of its MOJ responsibilities being brought into Government control again.
If the Tories continue to privatise profit and nationalise debt, then Corbyn is shoe-in at the next GE.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -
Nothing like the efficiency of a private sector company to teach the public sector how to do its business cost effectively!
It cannot be the job of Government to bail out this failing company. The question is can the Government take over the functions that have been privatised if another organisation does not.But Andrew Adonis, the former chair of the government’s national infrastructure committee, said: “It looks as if Chris Grayling may have been bailing out Carillion as well as Virgin. They got HS2 contracts from him after their troubles emerged in the summer, raising big questions about his due diligence and judgment.”Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

Possibly, like HS2 where they are already involved. It is being discussed...Not even wrong0 -
Why should the taxpayer be expected to bail out a company who paid a dividend to its shareholders only last year.0
