Making ground coffee at home with no mess?

Looking to start having ground coffee at home instead of instant with no fuss and mess if that is possible.
It's very nice from a cafetiere but always get grounds everywhere and a mess to wash up etc
Looking for a cheapish solution without buying a fancy coffee machine. Any suggestions?
Some options here

We use these for single cups.

For more than that we use a cafeteria. Not sure how you can make mess with them any more than anything else.0 -
reusable bags like these?

How are you making a mess? Rinse, empty, unscrew filter and plate, wash.0

I normally use my cafetiere but, when I want a coffee quickly and can't be bothered to clean it (or have broken it!), I use my Aeropress (http://www.aeropress.co.uk/). Great coffee, made (as it says) in 30 seconds, the coffee puck drops cleanly into the bin and, if necessary, it's ready to go again with only occasional washing.0

We were on holiday in a self-catering flat and discovered a moka pot. Once we worked out how to use it we were hooked. After we came home we bought one like this.
We use it for breakfast every day - sometimes using any leftover coffee later in the morning. I'm not sure it is much cleaner than a cafetiere however - we tend to use it when we have guests.0 -

Cafeteria or pump action espresso machine for me .
Cafeteria probably the easiest > warm > add coffee >water just off the boil > stir brew for 4 mins > pour .
Empty grounds into a tub with drain holes in the bottom is what i do . Then tip on the garden weekly .Old plastic washing whitener tub does the job .
Been drinking coffee since it was unfashionable and hard to get and tried most methods from kitchen towel upwards .
Stick with DeLonghi EC680 or similar machines or a £10 cafeteria .0 -
I find a pump action espresso machine isn't messy. Just knock out the grounds into a kitchen caddy and rinse the filter basket quickly with boiling water from the kettle. Less messy than a cafetiere, and you can compost the grounds or put them in your food waste collection.
Failing that, have you tried coffee bags?0 -
I use an Aeropress if its for just 1 mug's worth. Unlike a cafatiea You push the coffer/water mix through the filter rather than pushing the filter through the coffee/water and you end up with a compressed puck of coffee which is easier to chuck in the bin

For a single cup, we use this
