Right click on your network icon, Open Network Internet Settings, Change Adaptor Options. What does it show for the wifi adaptor ?
Right click This PC > Properties > Device Manager > Network Adaptors and check there is a wifi adaptor present.

Generally you should have Ethernet & WiFi in the change adaptor settings option, in the Device Manager should show as Wireless Network Adaptor.

Found it had to unhide devices !!
    Qualcomm AtherosAR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter
When I click 'Properties General' I see this
Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

I would ..... Driver, Uninstall Device then re start. The system should then find the card and install the driver.

It could be that the wifi card has died. Is the card no longer showing in Device Manager ?
