Virgin Broadband Retensions

How long till they ring you? do they bother at all to try and keep you these days??

I just cancelled my internet after my bill went from £15 to £33 so rang them yesterday and they offered me 20meg capped @ £21.50 after the bloke spoke to his Manager which I refused.

Do you think I'll get the call? I can't be bothered with the hassle of
changing although I kept quiet on that!

    Ask them for 50.

I doubt they will ring back.

Really, don't retensions exist now? or do the people you speak to initially have all the power?

I think if they give you a low offer on the phone and you turn it down they won't chase you. My experance anyway.

I'll wait and see and If they don't ring I may do that :o
  • They're not inclined to call you back because you think you can haggle a deal out of them.

The number of people that have cancelled services thinking they would get a call back with a retention deal and then don't is astronomical.

    But that's Virgin's fault apparently...
