I've no idea if we got the promised thunder during the night, if we did it didn't wake me.

We did, :eek:huge thunder claps & lightning, about 1 AM, & tipped down, plenty LO for Brambling I think. Not much fresher though, boiling hot now

Porridge breakfast then into town via tyre fitters, MOT is due & I needed two new ones on front. I opted for the cheapo as I don't do a lot of mileage or roaring up motorways
I'll book MOT for sometime next week

Nothing much in my normal mooches, but W8rose provide dinner, YS cheese & onion flan / quiche, large enough for two days if I don't pick at it

Back home, disaster,:( one of my toms had fallen over, cane snapped, one truss hanging by a thread. With luck it'll ripen as it is light green now

However I spotted another tom plant is starting to colour up, should be Mountain Magic but I think I've mucked up the labels, looks more like an orange cherry type, but like a first born, all are lovely

Caron, thanks for tip, oddly enough I nearly ordered some East European tom types but never did

Dinner, has to be more salad, with some of the YS C & O flan, and some frozen chips
I'm just about out of salad cream, was going to buy some today but forgot. I've got Mayo but it's not quite plebby enough for today's salad

Half way through the day and I've already scoffed:

Half a bag of jelly babies
    Coronation chicken sandwich
    Cucumber/egg sandwich
    2 pikelets topped with jam
    Individual blackcurrant trifle.

    :)

Hot, hot, hot here. Not had the curtains open at all.

oh yum, this was nice. I had 3 LO granny smiths so I mixed up some lemon juice cinnemon and sugar, added the peeled chopped apples and some blackcurrants. Put into 2 desert bowls and topped with a buttery crumble from the freezer. Cooked 40 minutes. I had to try it so put 2 spoonfuls on top of yoghurt and some scrumshus. Was simply gorgeous and I am glad to say will last me 3 more days

    Good evening everyone,

It remained quite overcast here though lovely and warm. It was lovely in the garden and I got a good bit of tidying & deadheading done. I had just finished when my sister appeared as a long, hot day at work for a cuppa & natter and we sat out for a bit.
Lunch was SD with sliced egg & greenhouse toms as there was more ripe. I had it with cucumber sticks and radishes also freshly picked.:)
Dinner is chinese/ bbq chicken with roast veg and a baked spud. The veg apart from the courgettes which are home grown is a use up of peppers, mushrooms & bought toms. There'll be enough veg LO to have cold tomorrow through cous cous or just as is. I'm aiming for a minimal cooking day as it's supposed to get hot (27C+) though not the 30C+ temps others are getting thankfully but more than hot enough for me!

I am horrified, just flicking channels and am on 38, my 600lb life. I am so sad for this unhappy woman, the upside for me is that it is reminder of why I am/need to be careful with my food. Such a pretty woman

Farway I think we shared the storm last night as we had it here about 1am, I've been bleary eyed all day :o

Pattypan the thing is these super large people often have feeders who enable them and everything can be ordered and delivered these days :(. I think they end up in a vicious circle with food and their weight which is so hard to break

Although temperature was slightly cooler at 29 when I got home the house feels a lot stickler then last night, I don't think I'll sleep any better than last night

Food today was a repeat of yesterday, a mix of using up LOs and cba

The poor woman had only herself, she had to do it all and she rolled from one place to another, obviously no help where she lived. She was a beautiful younger woman who comfort ate, then I had a phone call and missed the second half, I hope she managed to get to that special doctor.

No idea about food but I know I am going to up my water intake, got to keep the urine flowing, otherwise it is all coming out via skin. If we don`t cool then we get ill and worse. UTIs will be increasing

protibix and blueberries with hm hemp milk been had, has to be a veg medley with broadbeans later, probably a bit of grated cheese on top. At least the heat takes the appetite away. Crikey I feel the sun already, must prep my cave

My effort to reduce food intake is being thwarted by sheer piggery and using the excuse of having to use things up :)

Oh well, I'm belly aware at least and not in denial.

Today I plan to have these at least:
    Cucumber/egg sandwiches
    Coronation chicken sandwiches
    Sausage rolls
    Ice cream
  • Thanks caronic, am not a big tomato eater, not good for my arthritis, so if I do get loads - which I hope - I will copy that so I have to use freezer foods !!! Took sausage shepherds pie portion out for today and will get asparagus out too. May made some cold asparagus style soup to go in fridge for lunches.

A sticky night & had trouble sleeping, but no thunder at least

All set for records breaking temperature, but we are usually a few degrees lower the hottest areas, like Heathrow. Glad I went out yesterday so no need to leave the shady house today, still hot though

Last night's YS C & O flan salad was perfect for this weather, so it's rinse & repeat with the flan LO tonight

    Porridge breakfast
Then got on with watering front & back, including topping up the bird bath, poor little beggars will be gasping

Lunch will be usual cheese & salad sarnie
Dinner already mentioned, rinse & repeat from yeateday
