Trifle was assembled last night, looking good, no sprinkles on top, never use to have them, sometimes had the silver ball bearing type but the flake idea of Caron's mum sounds excellent. Filed away in memory for next time

I also added some of my cherries, the ones that have split with the rain. Totting up I've five fruits in there, so there you go, five a day in a bowl :j
Nice & sunny today, after porridge breakfast I took the opportunity to add some diluted fertiliser to the front flower pots, now my operation is healing nicely and rain stopped I needed to get on with that

Fresh loaf out of Panny, plain white this time. That's cooling for lunch

Cooked chicken thigh out defrosting now forecast is hot. Plan was some type of roast but salad seems more appropriate even though I had one yesterday

I had toast for breakfast and then went back to bed for a lie in.

I'm about to have a veggie burger in a bun with a side salad.

I might make tomato soup again later even though it is warm here.

    Lunch was cheese salady sarnie

I've made some packet stuffing for nuking later. I may just have a chicken + stuffing sarnie with trifle later

Please stop the trifle talk :p I do not need trifle, I do not need trifle :o

Lovely weather today and all my washing dried :)

Trip to town this morning to get my hair cut and catch up on my hairdressers wedding plans :D. Unfortunately my lunch plans to meet my sister had to be postponed so I had a late lunch when I got home of cheese, tomatoes and a bag of crisps.

Dinner was totally unplanned and a little random and ended up as quorn goujons from the freezer with a corn on the cob.

Yesterday I ate too many sugar-based foods and am really feeling the effects, with grogginess and general lethargy. I managed to plough through:

    A/ 2 scrambled eggs on 2 toast.
B/ apple pie & ice cream.
C/ another portion of pie/ice cream (the end of that)
D/ a cucumber and egg sandwich.
E/ An entire 250g packet of fruit pastilles
    F/ A packet of C/O crisps

I made up 3 rounds of sandwiches yesterday, for the fridge, two tomato rounds and the cucumber/egg round - so i've still 2 rounds of tomato sandwiches sitting in the fridge.

The fridge also still contains two sausage rolls and two portions of meatballs/onions/beans in sauce.

So, today's food will be the sausage rolls, the sandwiches and a portion of the meatballs (probably with spaghetti).

I feel really groggy today too, I woke with a headache and never get headaches. I have no idea what the air pressure is, could be that or cme (sun) but have no idea right now

Water first, then yoghurt/gooseberries/little granola, 2 eggs out the fridge to hard boil to have with sauerkraut later, will be nice with a roll. I am going out for a toddle on my bike later, need to get some fresh air before it all heats up

Cooler day, after porridge breakfast I watered & fed the plants in pots in the back garden. My strawberries are coming along, plumping up & looking super juicy ATM, let's hope they keep that way, maybe really ripe & ready by Tuesday. Suitably anti bird netted

Given the cooler day I've taken a YS MFO Shepherds' pie out to defrost. It's only a Morries Saver one so not expecting a taste explosion from it. I'll probably add some frozen mixed veggies to the meal

Trifle alert. It was scrumptious, jelly & fruit syrup had soaked nicely into the sponge before it set. I had two greedy portions yesterday, and there's plenty left:j

Lunch, has to be another cheese & salady sarnie. The HM white loaf turned out well, should last until mid week at least

Wouldn't it be lovely if one could make a massive trifle, get it very chilled in the fridge, then simply remove the whole cold bowl from the fridge, get a big spoon .... and wolf the lot down in one sitting without even a backward glance :)

    Toast for breakfast.

I fancy spaghetti with carrots, spinach and cherry toms. I bought a Sacla pasta sauce. Too lazy to make my own sauce today.;)

I was tempted on an ice cream thread today and went to buy ingredients for vanilla ice cream and for frozen yoghurt ice cream with raspberries. Yoghurt one is finished and yummy, the other one is finished to the point of cooling and churning. I believe that these will satisfy my sweet tooth and will last ages. Oh yes, 2 hard boiled eggs for early lunch with sauerkraut and a thick slice of w/meal spelt bread and butter. It has to be a veg soup later plus a veg juice, that will see me through the day
Changed my mind on the trifle, I think I get sugar overload too, like PN had
