I've had a banana and some water so far today.Could not remember whether I had taken my medication last night so have had no sleep.
At 4am I had a caffeine boost and at 6am half of the remaining hybrid curry. The rest of the time I have lounged on the sofa, which is obviously great for the digestion. Feel a bit queasy now, and the walls of cookbooks are closing in on me. _pale_
Anyone want to join my CFO pity party?
I'm not feeling that good today either,:( I had some very bizarre dreams last night!:eek:0 -
Sorry to read that you are feeling rough too, Wednesday2000.
Banana is a good call, I might try one with some Skyr that needs eating.
I have the duvet on the sofa and the curtains closed. Been alternating between feeling very nauseous and merely a little delicate, every half hour or so. This means gastritis attack not food poisoning.
I have been considering defecting from Skyr back to my previous live yoghurt brand 'Pakeeza'. Excited to learn today that their sister brand 'Lancashire Farms' is now made with free-range milk. :j
Food waste: One YS pear. It has just occurred to me that they might last longer if I refrigerate them! :rotfl:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Hope you feel better soon Fire Fox and Wednesday <<hugs>>
I've had a very domestic morning and I'm ready to put my feet up for a couple of hours before I plant up some hanging baskets.:)
Pork pie, salad and coleslaw for lunch and spaghetti with meatballs for dinner tonight.0 -
Hope the poorly Fire Fox & Wednesday improve as day goes by, awful when not feeling wellI have been considering defecting from Skyr back to my previous live yoghurt brand 'Pakeeza'. Excited to learn today that their sister brand 'Lancashire Farms' is now made with free-range milk. :j
Have you considered making your own yoghurt? I've been doing this for over a year now, I asked for one of these one Christmas and have never looked back
The best part is you can choose whatever culture you want as a starter, my present one makes thick & creamy but not too "sharp"
I did use organic milk to start with but have since gone onto UHT full fat for convenience
Watered pots out the front, very dry, wish the daffs would die back so I can get on & plant summer stuff, moan moan moan;)
Dinner, def defrosted YS chicken pie, but rest is ?????Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
i feel fine now, not sure what was wrong with me this morning. I felt really tired and like my eyes were watering, maybe it's hay fever starting. I felt weirdly better after I went for a walk outside, though. Doesn't make a lot of sense.:rotfl:
I had a banana and then baked beans on a jacket potato this morning.
I had a tofu salad for lunch along with a tangerine and a kiwi fruit.
Dinner will be a veggie curry with rice and either chickpeas or lentil dhal. Not sure what I feel like.:)2025 GOALS

ELFIN SAFETY ALERT: Do not read this post whilst eating.
Thanks Caronc and Farway. Glad you are feeling better Wednesday2000.
The pity party has a new feline recruit. Mid-afternoon she requested a canned meal for one. Practically inhaled it, immediately ejected (rejected?) it all over my white rag rug. Barely chewed.
Then had the effing cheek to sit by her place mat and mew for more food while I tried to wipe her sick up. Looks like a massive 'skid mark' now IYSWIM. :rotfl:
I ate a mini banana, pear, some golden raisins and Skyr. Now feel super bloated but not nauseous so that is a bonus.Need to eat something else fairly bland like soup, but I would have to make some first! Hmmmm.

Glad you're feeling better Wednesday
hope you are as well Fire Fox
Booked the dreaded trip to the vet for his lordship's annual jabs for next week, because he can be a scaredy-cat there is a certain set of criteria which I had to request  it has to be the lady vet as he's still not too good with men, it can't be a Saturday morning unfortunately as he reacted last year to them and I don't to go to the emergency vet on Sunday  it will also mean he will need a painkiller just in case with his jabs. Luckily they've been my vets for 30 years so no problems it's such a small vet practice that you can have a laugh and a joke.
Lunch was repeat of yesterday's chilli salmon and watercress salad.
Dinner was a quickly thrown together black lentils with lots of chopped veg and the mackerel I cooked yesterday. I'm off to see a play at our local small theatre with my sister The portrait of Dorian Gray, it's been a while since I've been to one and this was 241 with my Friends of the venue card :money:Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

Sorry Fire Fox but as a fellow cat owner I had to laugh, it's usually my cream carpet on the landing never the flooring downstairs which could be wiped up and usually they attempt to re-eatLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good evening everyone,
:eek:Fire Fox re the puking puss cat - just what you didn't need!!:(
Glad you are feeling better Wednesday:)
Snap Farway - I'm the same waiting for the Spring bulbs to die back if they don't hurry up I may resort to digging them up and popping them in plastic pots with some compost out of the way. I ended up doing this last year and did okay after replanting in the Autumn.
Enjoy the theatre Brambling
The weather did perk up later on and I got six hanging baskets potted up. Planting them was no problem but getting some of them up was a challenge - got there in the end though!
I've just ordered an open razor for slashing the top of my HM bread.Unlike buying knives online these days, delivery is just through the post unsigned for - makes you wonder as you could do a lot of damage with one....... I aim to bake my first sourdough on Wednesday but doubt it will have arrived by then so I'll have to manage with a sharp knife - yep first world problem I know:rotfl:.
It looks as though it's to be dry tomorrow morning then wet from early afternoon for a day or so. I think rather I'll aim to do gardening in the morning and keep my "housey" things for the afternoon.
Still haven't done a meal plan:o, but did go through the fridge so know what needs using up - I seem to have a lot of carrots & parsnips as well as most of a swede so might make a pan of root veg mash for the freezer. I also discovered a punnet of mushrooms hiding at the back which I thought had been used over Easter, they're still ok but I got a fresh punnet with my order today. Thankfully I love mushrooms so using those up won't be too much of a challenge, I've chopped a load into the tomato sauce for my meatballs tonight.:D There's also a carton of unopened sour cream which the kids must have brought. It's just in date so will be fine for a good few days until I cba thinking of what to do with it - probably stroganoff.0 -
So at 7pm I shuffled round the corner to mini-Sainsbogs and mini-Tescon in search of gastritis-friendly, bland fare.
Returned home with a red pepper, a whole chicken (YS 86p), a head of broccoli (YS 15p), Body Shop mint foot soak, Sanctuary body butter, a red striped ceramic "SNACKS•SNACKS•SNACKS" bowl and 'Taste the Difference' flapjacks.
I have broccoli florets in the freezer and YS tenderstem broccoli in the fridge but hey.
Then spent three flipping hours making a 'quick one pot' curried vegetable soup lite (butternut squash/ red pepper/ yellow carrot/ red onion/ yoghurt/ spices). James Wong is a liar: mortals cannot prep and cook a veg laden soup in thirty three minutes.
Found a study suggesting that several of my favourite spices are not gastritis-friendlyso I had to improvise. Ended up raiding the deepest recesses of my kitchen like a deranged spice-addict, using very expired English mustard and very very expired turmeric from a masala dabba, plus half the amount of madras blend.
I am chuffed to report that curried soup lite has the same luminous tinge as last time.
Don't know what to do with the stupid chicken. Should really go in the slow cooker tonight. Not a 'cat in hell's' chance it will fit in the freezer. Stupid ex/ friend won't eat any vegetables I can eat, and I am not supposed to have several of my favourite spices!
If this post makes no sense welcome to my world. It has been a very long, very peculiar day.
