No food for now .... had a horrid toothache/gum ache that's refused to disappear on its own... so visiting the dentist about lunch-time today :( I've been putting it off for two weeks. First day I thought I'd burnt my mouth on my pizza... but it's turned out to not be that.

Thanks Caronc :) ive currently a slightly drunken stagger when I first get up so I fear it's my ear :(

There is a little shop in town which sells stuff lose in bins flour, sugar etc etc as well as the bins he has a good supply of reasonably price food usually found in the World Food aisles of supermarkets like the pomegranate molasses, Gram flour etc as well as little bags of nearly every herbs and spice you can think of usually approx 40p a bag :D one of my favourite shops :rotfl:
Hope the wobbles have settled this morning Brambling, that sounds like a fab shop to have near by.:)

    Good morning everyone,

Still windy and much colder here this morning. I need to go to the library and pick up a couple of bits while I'm in town. I'll make sure I'm well wrapped up as the wind is baltic!
I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken last night and managed to just make enough for one portion so no LOs needing used up.:) Food today remains undecided, if I can get a nice cauli in town I'll do something with that, if not it will be a freezer rake.
  • I had cereal with almond milk and sliced banana this morning.

I will probably have something else before I go to my Chinese herbalist as I don't want my tummy rumbling again.:o:p

Back from my errands, as it so wet & windy I decided to abandon getting a cauli and not venture as far as the green grocers and just get bread & milk.

Egg mayo sarnie for lunch and probably a mug of soup using up some of my frozen stash. I'm thinking that dinner might be a sort of katsu curry using a breaded chicken steak that's been lurking in the freezer for a while. I've a pack of the Mayflower Chinese curry sauce powder in the cupboard so an easy put together.

Unfortunately the donkey is still visiting Caronc although it's not quite so bad as yesterday as long as I don't make any sudden movements. I woke with a bad headache and neck pain to add to the mix :( so made the decision to call in sick, I've only had 5 sick days off in over 5 years so not an issue. His lordship is happy he has company :)

Not as quiet as I hoped at home as next door is been cleared out by house clearance people, I understand why his children don't want to empty it themselves but the funeral isn't until tomorrow and part of me thinks they could have waited until after then but we all deal with things different. There's 55 years of stuff in there and I know from talking to the DIL they are assuming there's nothing of value, not that they can get into the spare rooms to check :cool:

Lunch will be HM soup and dinner LO chicken and bulgar wheat

Hope the trip to the dentist wasn't too painful PN

Poor you Brambling, sounds sensible to rest up. I hope it all eases as the day goes on <<hug>>

No rash Wednesday :) its an inner ear thing I think and the headache and neck ache are probably due to the way I was holding my head yesterday

Oh dear, tales of woe today, hope the wonky clear Brambling, and tooth get sorted PN

Seems my garden is bit behind now, the crocus missed by the squirrels are out, as are some of the Tete A tete daffs

The lamb was fine, unfortunately I followed directions instead of common sense bung in and come back much later, I cooked it for time stated on pack, the middle looked like it was straight from the abattoir:eek:
I had my couple of slices from outside for dinner, then rest back in oven once the roasties were out. All fine and cooked as I like it now

Having accidentally signed up for @mazon Prime I tried it, then the streaming box thing failed:( Must be a curse.
Ordered a replacement, from @rgos click& collect today
My package arrived in middle of last night's dinner BTW, always does, either that or in the loo

Out this morning to collect after clicking, nothing YS at all around, but remembered to buy the tinned Tom soup at last

Then rain started, and still raining now

Breakfast was porridge, the kippery tang is vanishing at last:j

Lunch was last of the bacon in BLT sarnie

Dinner will be back to 1950s, cold lamb, bubble & squeak from LO's plus non 1950, grilled wrinkly toms

    ...

Give it another week and you'll start to think your food tastes bland ... kippery tang might have just been your most favourite taste ever.
