Good morning everyone,
Hope your drops quickly settle your sore eye pineapple:)
Sounds like a productive SM trip PN:cool:
Like you kittie I'm getting a bit more savvy at freezing things in CFO portions
My but it's wild and windy here this morning, dry at the moment but bitterly cold. If the wind settles a bit I might get wrapped out and have a wander round the block, if not it'll be another day in the house for me.
The cheese, onion and potato pies seem to have turned out ok. I had enough pastry for two pies so might have one for lunch:D. For tonight I've a piece of rump steak defrosting so will have that with mushrooms, tomatoes etc.0 -
It is bitterly cold here and has been snowing lightly. Two dds and sil are coming over for a meal at some point and staying over so I nipped out for bread, cheese, eggs and potatoes as staples. I am making a big lasagne with loads of veg as a mail meal and have bacon, eggs, sausages and beans as choices for tomorrow's breakfast. No idea what to make for lunch or if they can stay so got some pork chops and marinated chicken as they can be a quick meal with chips, or mash and veg and can still be used up for me if they need to set off earlier.
When it is just me a small loaf of bread can last a week but when there are five, six or seven of us a loaf goes very quickly.0 -
So true Elona, when the boys were at home I was always running out of bread, whereas now it lasts me and sometimes I struggle to use a loaf up! Enjoy having the family over sounds as though they will be well fed:).
My plans for a family dinner tomorrow for my Dad's birthday have had to be postponed as the poor love had had another flare up of his tummy troubles so won't be eating much for a good few days:(. Gammon anyone? Thankfully the joint I've defrosted isn't huge but I'll need to redo my meal plans so it doesn't get wasted. I will freeze some, but do find gammon doesn't freeze that well on it's own so will need to have a think.....0 -
Windy and snowing here this am. Dashed into town during a lull to stock up. Getting a hankering for soda bread - which I haven't made in a long while. On getting back I remembered I used to put natural yoghurt in it. No natural yoghurt..... :mad:0

Ouch pineapple, that sounds nasty! Hope it responds to the drops quickly.
The meal was delicious last night, I had leek and potato soup, a huge chunk of beef brisket on garlic mash , with carrot cauli, broccoli and cabbage.
Then creme brulee, and possibly a bottle of wine!!!
Plenty of liquids for me today !!! Came home and took a packet of crisp and a cup of tea to bed.
Dgson is coming today his mum is of out for St. Patrick s day. So we'll be having our usual curry, today instead of yesterday. :TFocus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
It's beautiful sunshine with a strong wind and snow flurries here!!!!!
Did want to peg washing out, but confined it to a couple of pairs of joggers with my uniform on the maiden up stairs.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -

I had GF white bread toasted with marg and marmite and a cup of tea this morning.
I think I will get back into my pyjamas after my shower as I'm not going anywhere today in this weather. Brrr.:D0 -
Wednesday
If I did not have family coming over I would be tempted to just snuggle up in a dressing gown but don't want them to think I am not on top of things so will make an effort to tidy.0
