    Good afternoon everyone,
Lovely sounding Father's day gifts Farway 😁.
After such a lovely day yesterday it's horrible today, tipping it down and none too warm.
It was so good to get a catch up with my friends in the garden yesterday, we had a right good natter and they very kindly brought me two beautiful pots of flowers. One is a very blowsy peachy coloured begonia and the other honey and apricot coloured dahlias, they are absolutey gorgeous and will look glorious in the garden. 😁 Late afternoon my elder son and his fiancée arrived for a supposedly quick visit en route to a friend's garden. However for various reasons that didn't come off so they ended up staying on at mine until my younger son arrived after which we got a takeaway and sat outdoors until the rain came on just as it was getting dark.
I've had a lazy day so far apart from cooking bacon and eggs for brunch while my son sort out the multitude of stuff he brought back with him. Tonight he's 'zooming' with his Dad and brother so we'll be eating separately and will probably have the bratwurst we were going to have last night.

Well, it's 6.30pm and I ended up getting "stuck" indoors.... first LL was in the kitchen a LOT; I'm utterly silent when she's there, waiting for her to leave.  First session this morning was 1 hour.
Then, she's back in there a bit later... at 2pm.  I'm hoping at this point she'll be going out soon..... but no.
So what happened: 2pm, in the kitchen chopping/slicing/fiddling/rootling/rustling. 3.50 boyfriend turns up, he's now in the back garden, so now I'm "stuck" as I have to go out there to leave.... hoping he won't stay long... but no.
LL and bf are in/out/in/out perpetually ..... then - VISITORS!  At least two.  Now they're ALL in the garden having a BBQ.  5pm to 6.30pm.  Then the visitors came indoors/used the loo and all four (or five) of them have left.
They were all sitting well under 2m apart.  They shouldn't have come into the house at all.  Nobody washed their hands when they used the loo .... but the LL was coughing/sneezing in the kitchen throughout the day as she was making food in her unsanitary conditions.  and, I bet they were sharing/passing plates and glasses and bottles.

I didn't want to go out, I just get annoyed that I can't. Mostly/specifically because until there's nobody out there and LL isn't about to come home/leave (right by where I have my cig) ... I fancied a cig and had to wait 3pm to 6.30pm before I could venture out for one :)

I should also point out that to get air in here I open the patio door... which I was unable to do as they were all back/forth/in/out, then out there entertaining.

    9 days and counting....

    Good evening everyone,
As you say PN 9 days and then hopefully you'll settle into your new digs smoothly.
My lazy day continued, I did some laundry and tidying up but apart from that really just chatted with my son. He seems to be  happy to be back and rather than living out of suitcases and boxes is going to unpack properly as looks as though it could be a fairly long term arrangement with odd trips back and forward until life gets back on an even keel workwise whenever that might be.
The rain has more or less stopped now after tipping it down all day and I managed to get out to water the greenhouse without getting soaked! The forecast for the next couple of days looks as though there could be at least some decentish dry spells so fingers crossed I'll get most of the planting finished.
Tonight him, his Dad and his brother are all having a Chinese takeaway while having their Father's day catch up via Zoom. Much as I'd love one it's just too much of a salt load especially after scoffing pizza and pakora yesterday :( . I'm happy to do my own thing and discovered there is still a smoked haddock fishcake in the freezer which I'll air fry with some HM sweet potato wedges and a corn cob. Along with some salad I'll be  more than happy with that.

I've had a lazy day other than pottering in the garden, the rain has encouraged the weeds to grow 😐 and I planted what I brought yesterday as well as moving a couple of things around.  I did come in after chatting to next door who were having a distance family gathering in the garden and looked in the mirror not a pretty sight bright red face from forgetting sun cream 🥵 and 'interesting' wild hair

I wasn't that hungry lunch time so grabbed some fruit, cherries, peach and apricots.  Dinner was the rolled shoulder of local lamb I brought yesterday with new potatoes, French beans, roasted fennel and roasted red chicory. There's enough lamb for lunch tomorrow. Whilst the oven was on I made a stuffed pepper and portobello mushroom using Nasi Goreng as the filling minus the egg, I will be working late for a couple of nights so that will make it easier I forgot to pick my courgette so I'll do something with that tomorrow, there a several growing so I'll need to keep on top of them 😁 .

Well, they went out with their visitors.... 6.20 and suddenly reappeared at 8.40. Into the garden, still with visitor/s in tow.  LL and bf in/out/in/out of kitchen making coffees etc.  And now just back in making another set of coffees.

There's a phrase I'll be using when they do go: "Thought they'd never f*** off" :)

They possibly all went out in the same car.  These are at least three households inter-mingling in very close proximity.... doing things they shouldn't be doing - and blatantly/outside in the garden.

I'm astounded, sickened, angry at their disrespect of the rules and me.... they believe I'm particularly vulnerable as that's the line I fed them so as to have them keep their distance.

EDIT: And, finally, they all farqued off at 9.20... visitors AND bf entering the kitchen one more time just before they left.

Just counting down the days PN, I'm sure we're doing the same along with you.
Lets hope with the scorching days forecast this week you can get out and maybe block the posh bay view scoffing chips & puffing on a ciggy :D
Add to the insult by lobbing the chip wrapper & dog end out the window :o:wink:

Sunny day ahead, I should feed the potted plants but feeling a bit lazy just now, maybe get some ooomph later. At least with the rain watering is not urgent
Lunch is going to be fresh fruit salad, my DD was very impressed by the cherry tree with it's yummy berries, and the goosegogs that are sweet enough to eat right off the plant
I'll use some in my FS, shame to not use them right now.
Dinner, more salad, the pack of baking spuds in my C & C are good ones, so one of them, with a couple of use up eggs, boiled

I'll intersperse with slices of DD's HM carrot cake and cuppas

    Good morning,
It's returned to winter here - lashing with rain and gale force winds! I had to go and rescue my emptied food caddy but I don't think I'll be venturing out again today! It's none too warm either, I've socks and thick cardi on!
Lunch will either be a sarnie or a toastie and I think I'll have a noodle in the freezer and see if there is any HM soup to go with it. I've pork steaks defrosted for tonight which we'll have with Ayrshire spuds and various veg.

It's still super hot/sweating like a pig here....

Got my date fixed.  Had an option of Tue/30th, "after 6pm at the earliest", but that'd mean kicking around all day half sorting, half cleaning.... and not quite being here nor there.  The alternative was 10am on Wed/1. So I went for that as it means I can get up, pack, get over there/in at 10am, be back here by 11am doing a 2nd load, then cleaning and handing over the key by lunchtime and away.
Cleaning won't be much as I've kept on top of it all.... but it's not until you've got all your stuff out that you can turn round and think "what did I miss".... but it still needs to be done.  When you're on your own you can't be in two places at once either, which makes it all the more daunting so it's imperative to get things in the right order at the right time ... and not be in a situation where one's kicking around waiting for some arbitrary "later/in a bit" time.
