You hav'nt answered or helped with any of the questions

    As for:-

I don't understand why you start thread after thread on the same subject but don't listen anyway

Not true and what other thread?

    This other thread
In addition, you have posted on yet another thread on the same subject.
I can see that you were advised that you could purchase a 12 month licence for KIS 2017/18 for under £4.
You ignored that advice and have started yet another thread.
On this thread you have been advised not to select Auto-Renew and Extended Download and yet you are still asking about it.
    You don't take good advice.

If I don't "select Auto-Renew and Extended Download" what should I select?

That's exactly what I've done - for the time being at least - in conjunction with ZoneAlarm firewall, which has been the most recommended stand-alone firewall for decades.

I'm told that Kaspersky no longer has its own firewall but defaults to MS, although that isn't apparent from anywhere I could see.

I understand that that is only the free version, I have just installed KIS 2018 on a new computer and it certainly has its own Firewall.

Perhaps they are referring to the Antivirus product(KAV), as opposed KIS or KTS.

OP has been shown the option to get KIS for even less than the renewal cost of whatever he has now....but one might as well be talking to the wall.
