Yes I was expecting it but am a bit disappointed to receive notification because it is about the time limit the Court gave them to respond to my defence. Looks like I'll be going to court

I will read up on DQ. Thanks

Received a Notice of transfer of proceedings which is not the court I requested. Do I have to accept that or is there scope to change to my local court?

How far away from you is the allocated court?

Is it one closest to the parking company?

Which court did you indicate as preferred when you completed the Directions Questionnaire? Where has been allocated?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Was hoping for 20 mins walk to my local court which I specified on the DQ in Hertfordshire. Now I've got 25 mins drive + parking. I doubt its any nearer for the parking company

It may well be because many local courts are amalgamating or closing, to save money:

Does this latest letter actually set out your hearing date, or the date by which all parties must file the WS and evidence you intend to rely upon? Read all letters carefully as some people overlook the date to file their WS unless they read all the wording.

No date given yet. Just a letter saying the claim has been transferred and I'll be sent the judges directions in a notice of allocation

''Rip-offs from car park Cowboys must stop''; unfair treatment; signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued; ''years of abuse by rogue parking companies''; bloodsuckers; ''the current system of regulation is hopeless, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood-bank''; extortionate fines; rogue operators; ''sense of injustice''; unfair charges and notices; wilfully misleading; signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead; ''confusing signs are often deliberate, to trap innocent drivers''; unreasonable; a curse; harassing; operating in a disgusting way; appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing; loathed; outrageous scam; dodgy practice; outrageous abuse; unscrupulous practices; ''the British Parking Association is as much use as a multi-storey car park in the Gobi desert''; and finally, by way of unanimous conclusion: ''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists and ordinary residents should not have to put up with this''.

These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to your MP in a complaint and ask him/her to contact Sir Greg Knight MP if he wants further information about this scam.
