yup i cant emphasise enough that RD is in no way anything like SD in how they are sent/handled/delivered
i know SD isnt cheap but say using RD on your £85 item and it ens up non delivered(or no proof of delivery) then all you can claim is £34(max)so your £51 out of pocket over a few extra quid postage0 -
Try www.parcel2go.com
For example, yesterday I send some HiFi equipment, which would have cost about £20 by Parcelforce or Special Delivery
It was £9.50 with Parcel2go, collectected from me by DHL at 4.00pm yesterday and it has already been delivered 300 miles away.
Tracking is better as well.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
you can also get other couriers on ebay.theres tons of threads on it.
can get it cheaper than £9.50 as well0 -
I think courier will be the way, SD is too expensive as it weighs 9kg! Thanks for the replies.0

not in this case but remember with SD it has some other 'benifits'
before 1pm delivery (or12/9am with extra cost)
generally local delivery offices for collection
mostly saturday delivery even without paying for saturday guarantee
so its not always comparable on cost

Make sure you have adequate insurance as well as using a delivery company 'allowed' by paypal to prevent a chargeback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
