harz99 I thought as much
go with resolver, it will send any correspondence to your own email account.
upload any documents etc to your case file.
I usually only use my credit card for purchases over £100. Unfortunately this was the one exception.0 -
Initial letter sent via Resolver, so now we wait and see. Have asked for a full refund as a starting point...0

The repairs team are normally very good on the phone - I used to work for them.

This was before 2015, but we'd issue a replacement phone after 3 repairs - however this would be a refurbished item.
A refund was a last resort.
I expect the CRA will have changed things a bit, though!0 -
There is a very big thread on the wifi issue over at the Lenovo forums - you may find useful info there (although probably not how to 'fix' it yourself):

I purchased a G5S+ for my son for Christmas and the phone would not connect stably to wifi (although I resolved that and it appears to be a compatibility issue between the phone and my specific router).0 -

Thanks, seen the Lenovo forum and tried all the suggested fixes before taking it back to CPW. Mine has the same issues at home, in Wetherspoons or abroad, it's not fussy whose router or wifi it drops them all...0 -
First response from CPW completely ignored my point regarding CRA 2015, and advised me to take the phone back to the shop for further repair - which they don't do on that make.
So a suitable response has been made quoting CRA again and asking (again) for a full refund.0 -
Second response from CPW much the same as their first reply.
Simply said I can't have a refund because of the date of purchase, failed to elaborate as to why, and failed to answer my points about rights under CRA.
Oh well, I shall ping another suitable response back and request the matter is escalated by CPW.
Bit like tennis, this is...0 -
Third response from CPW telling me that as Motorola repaired the phone it has to go back to them again - absolute rubbish, and still ignoring the CRA.
Another day, another ping back.0 -
Motorola is not much better harz99. Finally got them to agree to take my phone back for a refund. Can not count the emails and time on the phone to them. Resolver I believe has hastened the process. My phone was bought in November, sent for repair in December.
The Wifi issue seems to be an inherent problem with this particular make.
Good luck, keep going through Resolver. Persistence is key. Even if you are about to throw the blerdy thing through the window.0
