Servicing Stop - Worst Service Ever

To be fair I can understand why they say that. If you expect them to resolve an issue then you should deal with them directly.
(I still wouldn't touch them with a big stick!)0 -
Thanks for this information, I need my car servicing and this company came up at £113 for a full service including collection and dropping off. Reviews (on the site) look good but it seemed a bit too good to be true (dealer service is £259) so I did some digging and came up with this informative thread.
I won't be using them.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
"ServicingStop" didn't work on your car. They never saw your car.
ServicingStop is just a website that puts you in touch with local garages, who pay to get customers referred.
It's that garage, and that garage alone, which tucked you up like a kipper...
https://www.servicingstop.co.uk/join_our_garage_network.html
Doesn't matter. The contract is through service stop. Their "dealer network" is their responsibility.
This is your logic:
"I bought a fault IPhone from Dan down the street. I'm going to complain to apple"
"My hairdresser gave me a bad haircut. I'm going to complain to Wahls."0 -
You miss my point. That garage did the bad job. It doesn't matter if you found them through ServicingStop or directly. Another garage through ServicingStop may do a good job.
(They probably won't, because the people who need to go through a third party marketing front end like SS are the ones who can't build up a good rep locally)...0 -
Apart from being stung by a large bill, which was almost twice the price of the main dealership, it took them almost four days to deliver my car despite promising to be delivered the next day. Their website prices are hugely misleading, almost too good to be true. But that’s the bait they’ll use that gets you sucked in into their trap. Their sales people leave their conscious at the door and would steal from their own family. This is their business culture, who shamefully leach off the vounerable people.
They should be not allowed to trade. The worst rouge company in existence in Britain today.0 -
there cant be any worst cheats
there cant be any worst cheats.
I booked a car service and MOT for my car through Servicing Stop. They quoted £184.00 for the serivce and £19.00 for the MOT.
They picked up my car in the morning of 18th!March 2019. I got a call form them Late afternoon on the same day, telling me that there was an MOT fail. They needs to change some bulbs and the price they quoted this time was!£424.78 more than twice!!the origional quote.
!
I told them to return my car as it is at the price is extorstionist.
They told me that they can not return the car and blackmailed me that I will have to payup if I wanted my car back.
I eded up paying the price to get the car released. Thius company adiversies sating upto 60% off on servicing and MOT however they are really a con and cheat company who can not be trusted.!

Servicing Stop are to car repairs what 24/7 Home Rescue are to boiler cover!!0

Just looked at their website, it says £24 for an MOT with free collection & delivery. I'm no expert, but there is clearly no way a middle man will make any money out of that, without flogging you a load of extra work once they have taken your car and entrapped you.
You know what they say, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.0 -
Update end March 2019, to the below:
Servicing Stop came good on customer service, they got in touch with me and heard what I had to say, went away and listened to the recorded call between the salesperson and myself, and agreed that I'd been wrongfully advised/ coerced. They refunded the cost of the replacement drive belt in full.
While I'm still nervous about the experience and am not sure whether or not I'll go with them next year, I am really encouraged by their customer service and willingness to deal with the salesperson in question.
I've used Servicing stop for the last two years so feel qualified to review them. This is a copy of the email I sent them today:
Dear Servicing Stop
I’m giving you some feedback on your service. This is the second year I have used Servicing Stop, and the last. I’m afraid that I find your sales operatives (the ones who phone through on the day the car is in the garage, to suggest non-standard service additions) too sales-focused, and frankly, the last one lied to me. This is an instant turn-off, and is why I will not be using Servicing Stop again.
I think there are many great features about your service model, but trust is an essential foundation in any car maintenance/ repair relationship.
The sales operative who called me (Josh) told me that due to the age of my car (actually he changed his mind about whether it was due to age or mileage) my belt drive should be replaced. I asked him if someone had seen it, and suggested it needed to be changed. He apparently contacted the garage at that point (whilst I was on hold) and said that in order to access (see/ diagnose) the belt drive, labour costs would be incurred and that but the time this had been done/ paid for, I should just replace the belt.
When my Dad came home he told me drive belts can be seen without any labour, just open the hood. By then it was too late, I’d already paid.
No doubt you’ll send me a response saying that the operative was misguided, or that he thought labour costs would be involved because they sometimes are… I smell sales tactics when I smell them, and it just doesn’t foster trust.
Anyway. I’m also going to post a review online because there is much negative press about servicing stop, and I happen to think some of what you do is great. Just not the part where people pressure-sell extras on the phone, when your car is not in your possession and things can’t be verified. That part is not ethical.0
