  • Soup for lunch and I got a couple of braising steaks out of the freezer last night to go into the slow cooker this morning in a stew which we'll have with jacket potatoes and peas tonight.

We'll be having some kind of ready meal curry feast that's in the fridge and needs using up today.

Got some HM faggots & onion gravy out of the freezer last night for dinner tonight. Will have those with some mash and veg. Love my HM faggots but hate the "Bra*ns" ones - they're just a mush.

Been across the pond with work for a few days so have managed to eat my (now increased) body weight in steak, lobster and pancakes. (Was in MA so plenty of lobster on menus, wasn't being posh!) I am possibly at slight risk of scurvy due to a rather alarming lack of very much that felt healthy (though had some sweet potatoes fries that were fab...followed by cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory...which was also fab).

So, tonight's dinner was jacket spud with cheese and beans.

I now need to not carry on with the likes of a cooked breakfast, pizza for lunch and steak for dinner if I want to fit into any of my clothes come Christmas :o

I am away with work, so I didn't cook, I had buffalo cauliflower starter, which was strange and I am still trying to figure out what it was supposed to be.
My main course was a mixedbean burrito with halloumi with salad and that was very tasty.

I'm buying some fish from the van that comes round today but whether we have that or not is debateable as we still need to eat the curry in the fridge.

For some reason when I went to cook the chilli last night there was not a tin of toms to be found in my cupboard so dinner turned into halloumi fried, onion rings, camembert mini dip thing and cranberry sauce with a few crackers to dip – strangely satisfying
