Does the new price rise mean that a new contract is started.

I did get a price rise letter but ignored is as I am out of contract and thinking of going over to Plus net.

Do I have to inform BT I am leaving or can I just go through the new provider to switch.

No, it's not a new contract.

You can just go through the new provider although it may be worth giving BT a heads up in case they're feeling generous.
