No, what makes you think you can just amend a defence, without applying (£255) to ASK the court to do so>?
Youre ina *formal* *Legal* process here. Panicking will get you absolutely nowhere.1 -

Thank you both, unfortunately, I signed, dated and emailed the defence yesterday and it states on MCOL that they've received. Is it worth me amending and advising them that I'm sending an updated defence through now?? Wish I'd waited now but started to panic as the date was nearing.0 -
Hi all, a few weeks ago the courts got in touch to advise I'm expected to attend a phone hearing with Leeds County Court at the end of this month.
I'm planning to make a start on my witness statement this weekend but was shocked to receive the attached letter from ELMS legal regarding the case, mainly because a claim has already been issued and I have been given a date?
Is it best to ignore this as I have done with all of their other letters or is this an opportunity for me to request that their client drops the claim. My partner pointed out that they're probably worried they won't win and that's why they've sent the letter.

Standard scare tactics hoping you will pay up - they must be unsure of their case if they are offering this.3

You odnt need to ask that quesiton, because we cannot give yo ucertainty. Given it will only take about 5 minutes to compose and email such, you could have done it already.
Just get on with your bundle. When is your deadline?3 -
It's today!! Thanks for asking - I completely misread the documents and thought it was 3 days before but that's my name and contact details. Looks like I've got some major work to do tonight!0

Can anyone confirm how I file documents at the court. Do they have to be posted? If so, I think I've screwed myself a bit here. I couldn't see any further information about how to do this on the documents I was sent.0

E-mail, post or hand deliver. Bit late for hand delivery so e-mail is your only option unless they have an outside post box; take timed and dated photographs of the envelope and you putting it through the post box.2
