Thanks DNMS. It has been going on and off for about 40 years now :(
Your family are very lucky for all that you do for them Dawn but even more so you brother who seems to think it’s perfectly acceptable to treat you the way he does. Hopefully it’s short lived this time.
  • Small list of what I’ve achieved today rather than setting my stall out early:
Lots of washing, drying on airer/ radiators
    Cleaned bathroom
    Vacuumed through downstairs
Lovely walk round our local woods, did almost a ‘lap’ on my own so I could brisk walk whilst DH was playing with the smalls and then we all met up for snacks I taken rather than going to the cafe. Just £1 parking, which I can live with as it’s hekps with the upkeep of the beautiful place. I can actually walk their from home, so planning on trying to do that a couple of times a month (which also saves the £1 and gets more steps in)
‘Free’ roast - ys deli meat that’s been frozen, frozen potatoes left from Christmas buffet and veg from freezer and second half of batch of yorkies we cooked and froze before. Have updated inventory
Put some napkins left from dd birthday party in with a someothers I had in the dining room where they stand best chance of being used
Bought a voucher online (discounted) to spend in a shop I was going to anyway - money will come from clothes piggie ultimately and gave us a chance to look at a piece of furniture we want to purchase.
Used coffee and cake vouchers when we went to get ^^
    Small to prepaid swimming lessons
    Watching something on iPlayer tonight

    Enjoy your evening folks. Purps.

*Cleared out & rationalised 2 really annoying kitchen cupboards. Do you remember when Ally used to have a clear out & end up discovering 'treasure'?

This happened a lot when we moved house in Autumn 2017. :D

    * Today begins my Bold Bicycle Bonanza 2018 challenge. I'm trying to use the car as little as possible and this year I want to use a bicycle for leisure. I've joined Bike & Go (Link). The idea is that I will occasionally rent a bike from a hub at the station round the corner and if it goes well I will consider buying one. At £3.80 per day that's affordable.

Oh my gosh that was fun! :rotfl: Cycling all along the prom (on the cycle path) for 5km with 20mph winds in my face. Haven't used a two-wheeled bicycle since the 1990s, I usually rent a trike. :D Wobbled consistently for the first km. Even the labrador I passed was laughing. I need to buy a helmet, for sure. And probably a life jacket in case I get blown into the sea.

Used free Runkeeper app to track my humble efforts. I can run faster than I can cycle!

Anyway, that was brilliant fun. I'm back in the saddle in my new charity shop leggings. £3.

Came home and made homemade chicken soup and beef and potato soup. Ate some of the former, then fell asleep exhausted for two hours.

Made a smoothie. I bought £5 of frozen fruit from Farmfoods and it lasts a.g.e.s. I'd been spending £2 a bottle on the stuff in Morrison's. Homemade is way cheaper.

    Found a helmet for £13.

    Hi Sunday Savers,
Have just enjoyed reading everyone's posts, but unfortunately the MSE site isn't letting me 'Thank' any of you, so don't think I'm being churlish. I just get a message when I click the thanks button saying I am not authorised to access it.

Foxgloves, MSE are aware of this issue. Try logging out and logging in again. If this doesn't work it'll likely resolve shortly.

Dawn, sorry to hear about the RL issues again.

Didn't end up achieving much in the end as we spent ages trying to find out why ds1 new android phone kept getting error warning pop up, saying he'd need to click ok to get error fixed etc, luckily he didn't click on anything, but we've spent ages looking round online to see if theres anything we can do to stop these pop ups but have come up to a dead end and I've lost the will for the rest of the night!! Going to have a cuppa and try to mentally switch off until tomorrow!

Sounds like it's infected with Malware. Download the free Avast for Android anti-virus and then run a scan. (Link)
