My 12 month contract with Virgin Media has just ended. Upon reviewing my contract, I have noticed that the contract has my cost as £17pm but I have been paying £18. Could I use this as a bargaining chip for a better deal? Are they technically in breach of contract?

No breach if it was simply an admin mistake (neither you nor they seem to have realised!) - ask them to refund the £12.00 they have had off you in error (or if you paid by dd use the dd guarantee)0
