Awwww bless him blue_monkey.
Pripsen was the way forward for when my daughter had them - many moons ago
but I know how horrified you must feel
Shouldn't worry unduly tho', but it's second nature to want to disinfect and cleanse everything isn't it? Especially after reading some articles.
A tip I received from a health visitor was to get out the Vaseline.
She advised that after my DD had her nightly bath just before bed, to apply it to her bottom, quite liberally, but not everywhere, if you get my drift! (Gosh, it's embarrassing writing about it lol). But the belief behind it was that any threadworms, or eggs, were trapped in the Vaseline, thus stopping the little blighters from going too far! Or getting too airborne.
It makes sense if you think about it, but this advice is pretty dated, so that's my disclaimer.
Good luck and don't worry. It's part of childhood as others have mentioned

When we had an 'infestation' a few months ago I phoned the dr surgery and spoke to the nurse. She wrote out a prescription in my sons name for enough medicine to treat the whole family twice. This way we were treated for free.

GP used to do the same for us: I just had to phone and say "They've got them AGAIN!"xxdeebeexx wrote: »When we had an 'infestation' a few months ago I phoned the dr surgery and spoke to the nurse. And before anyone gets too grossed out, we're not talking tapeworms here, are we? These are just threadworms!Signature removed for peace of mind0
