Curious how their insurance company knew the garage had not fixed faults.
If you ever come back, unlikely its schooltime soon. But what is your black box?
If they removed the codes why did your black box still read them?
False information regarding the codes? do tell...Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Reading the google cache of the new deleted first post, I think the black box is just a fault code reader.
Sadly the other deleted posts are not cached by google.0 -
I'm assuming fault codes on the ECU.
Its not particularly unusual for a garage to wipe the codes to start from a clean slate as it were. Previous codes code be old and have sat there a while - maybe caused by a low battery or a one off issue.
I dont think its unreasonable for the garage to have wanted to attempt to rectify it. If you're selling eight year old cars and simply refunding on the slightest fault code / whim well you wouldnt be in business terribly long....0 -
But their insurance knew the codes were still there apparently.
I wonder if the OP had a telematics policy which caused issues to the cars electrics? Possibly flattening the battery which may have been original on an 8 year old car.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
