you could go to virgin megastore if you have a virgin credit card, they have an offer on for £350 for the 60 gig version, any 2 games from a selection of 7 AND an extra control pad. pay using your virgin credit car and it comes in at just under £304.

seems a good deal to me.

  • Hi

I recently(last month) bought a ps3 bundle from Amazon.co.uk. for £424.98. This included games console, 'free' extra controller, 3 'free' games and a 'free' HDMI cable. Imagine my dismay when I discovered that Sony had dropped it's price by £75, I immediately did a quick search and discovered that Amazon.com offer to refund the difference if your purchase was within 30 days of the price drop(which mine was).

I emailed amazon.co.uk customer sevices who initially tried to fob me off with 'we dont do price match' so I emailed them back saying that I am not looking for price match but a refund. The next day I receive an email informing me that I am to get a refund of £55.

Great except I was expecting an extra £20 so I looked on their website to see if they had only dropped the cost by £55, they had dropped it by £75 but now the controller was £20. I once again emailed them and explaind that when I bought the bundle the controller was free and now I was been charged £20 for a free thing which really means it is no longer free which means the bundle I got is now wrong and I wish to have the status of the 'free' controller put back in place. Anyways to my shock they emailed me the very next day informing me that my card would be credited with the missing £20. I have received all said refunds.

Thought I'd let you know if you bought a ps3 within 30 days(thats prior) of the price drop then get onto customer services and demand a refund because they wont give it to you if you don't ask

It might also be worth trying at other stores as well and other products.

    Anyway good luck.

    Regards

    Mick

  • Whats wrong with the original PS1 or even the Segamaster system?

You can watch all your favourite movies on both DVD and video home system.

YOu can pick up a segamaster system or even a PS1 for about £20 with games from any car boot or jumble sale. You can pick up a video home system or a dvd player for about £20 brand spanking new.

So for about £40 you can own enough technological hardware to play games and watch movies. With the savings you can buy yourself a really nice Trinitron television with Nicam stereo AND a BSkyB package.
