For those who don't understand the deal!!

£349 for a PS3 60GB + 3 games is excellent price compare to others......

Any one knows any better?

Rang around several Blockbusters in Liverpool to buy but they only have 40 GB PS3 left

The logic for me to buy a ps3 was for pro evolution 2008 and the new gta purely and may buy the odd racing game soon.

But if a 60gb ps3 was in shops for £270 woudl you buy it? yes you would even if you already had a ps3 because they still go for what £320 brand new on egay with no games. So...... doing the deal i stated in post 1 you can make £50 cash in your pocket if you sell the ps3 on. If you dont sell it on and keep it, well youve got yourself a cheap ps3. Nobody likes the games shops throw in with consoles fifa 08 is £39.99 everywhere CEX is offering to give £36 CASH, as for trade in prices well if they buy games so expensive dont you think there stated prices for re sale will be even more expensive?

So..... i paid £270 for a ps3 i got a £5 off voucher for pro evo when its out in 10 days time so i wil get that game for £35 = £305 for a 60gb ps3 with my favourite game with it. Im happy :T if you think my post is crap then dont comment on it you xbox fan boys you :rotfl:

oh and to top it off... try find another blue ray player for £270

Why do people have to find fault with a money saving post? It maybe a faff for some - but for others it's a good spot as it's cheaper than anywhere I've seen. I don't want it - but I can see a good deal here for many. Why say anything if it's not a deal for you? Sorry to get involved - but this is supposed to be a friendy community of money savers - not a forum to give people a slagging off 'cause you don't agree with their idea. I'll crawl back under me stone now for a sleep.

Look, the original deal is fabulous! I'd nearly be tempted if there were actually any "killer apps" for the PS3. But until then i'll stick with Halo 3 ... Especially if you realise that the retailers actually have to take the loss themselves for anything they bundle a console with. Blockbuster are giving money away !

But selling the games is to be left with a "doorstop" is somewhat nonsensical !

Its that "Total cost of ownership" seems to be missed a lot on MSE ....

like yourself i want it for pro evo and a few racing games, so i think your post is a great find and il certainly be doing it. a ps3 console for for £270 is great, the 2 gamnes you get with it i probably will hardly play, they will only be used as a stop gap until pro evo comes out, so if i can get cash for them and buy pro evo while making a profit at the same time is fantastic !!

Don't forget the 60gb version is PS2 game compatiable. Doorstop? Nope.

Besides - it will be a doorstop that can play BlueRay DVDs - hardly a useless doorstop! If you buy a bluray DVD player with no DVDs you will pay a lot more!

On an aside... CEX RARELY have any cash to cover these.
To sell on ebay - if it goes for £320 you still have £30 fees + paypal fees (usually £10) so wont make that much on it. £290 for the PS3 and £79 for the games.

Err, I know it's slightly OT (and coming from a self-confessed 360 fanboy) - but if that's what you want the ps3 for, I can't imagine why you wouldn't get a 360...

You get 360 exclusive content for GTA, more people to play pro evo against, PGR4 and you save £70...

Just a thought though
