Hermes should be taking photographs of the safe place when they leave an item in a safe place now, the software on their delivery pods forces them to0

Literally, every second counts when you are being paid 50p per parcel. Take a look at http://www.lifestylecouriers.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10260&p=148018&hilit=safe+place#p148018
You need to be a registered user to read.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -
@Naf - Apologies, didn't realise. One example...
"Have nt spoken to a fm I. Months , we never got told about this or had any training , or told wot we are meant to take a pic of , so I just take a pick of the parcel laying at my feet , the. Leave it wherever I am gong to leave it afterwards , so every pic , all u can see I'd the parcel , no background , Plants wall nothing , so that parcel could be down a !!!!ing toilet bowel for all they know lol"0 -

It won't be "rolled out" as that is corporate-speak and the couriers you talk of are "many" companies and not one or connected.0 -
But to add, where I live, the Hermes couriers do a sterling job - a word apart from for example Royal Mail or equivalent. They are like the RM of old, where they know their regulars, know where they like their parcels left, appreciate that at the end of the day people ultimately want their deliveries. Not very where will be like this, sure, but my experience is very positive. They are paid less then a Deliveroo driver, who knows you are going to be in (because you've ordered something for delivery straight away), are on very similar terms, put up with a tonne of the proverbial, but still ensure you got your packages for Xmas.
NB/ I'm not employed by them, but I do know several - including the guy who delivers to my house fairly regularly because of my older teenage daughters, and genuinely want to keep people happy.0 -
Either way, the status of delivered will be sufficient for eBay to rule in the seller's favour, with or without photo of feet/garage/safeplace.0

Hermes provide their HHT's (Hand Held Terminals) to scan parcels, and it is on this that the photo functionality is being rolled out on.
As I said, it's not a singular company, therefore there is no "roll out" as you call it.
Each company will decide what (if anything) to do as and when.0 -
