Fibre to the House

Lucky me, living in rural Wales, with Fibre right into the house for nearly 12 months now. There seem to be increasing numbers of communities with full fibre, but I don't think a single new ISP has stepped up to the plate. The choice is either BT or Zen. Both charge a hefty premium over FTTC, but the choice for me was either that service, or vanilla 1.6mps over ADSL, so no contest.
Unlike almost all of my neighbours who went for BTs enticing initial discounts, I signed with Zen and have no complaints about the support service they offer which, I think, is probably the best. My beef is the lack of choice, given that hefty public subsidies have brought the fibre.

Complain to talktalk, Sky etc etc. for not pulling their fingers out and bringing retail products to market that use the wholesale service provided by BTW.
A&A also offer FTTP and I think Uno do as well, though many don't like the prices.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230
