Okay, a few little things done:
- £1k to my long term easy access account, interest there is just over 2%, I don't hold much in it, but better in there than in my current account.
- £1k to premium bonds.
- £5 😋 from the "Rewards" section of my current account. Now that I use the bank app, just to see what's there, there's actually a gain rather than a zero sum, they pay £1 a month for using the app, weirdly.
Today:
- I was hoping to get going on clearing the horrible skirting board in my kitchen. I *really* doubt that's going to happen now, so I'm putting the kitchen back in order quickly.
- I have a washing machine load just finished that needs to dry.
- I'd like to swoosh around the edges of the kitchen floor, it seems to get *so* dirty
- the last of the furoshiki, when the kitchen is back in order. First time ever that I've found Christmas prep enjoyable
- I might try to get out for a walk today - I thought I was doing quite well with my fitness, with being up and down stairs all the time, but walking to Waitrose yesterday was quite different. Arthritis in my feet might stop me, but I'll try.
- need to make time to cook some nutloaf, today or tomorrow, Christmas plans in a slight amount of uproar because of pneumonia. The papers aren't kidding when they say that other viruses than covid are on the up

Hope you manage to stay virus free. I'm just getting over the virus I picked up, today was the first time outside since Sunday. Unfortunately despite my best efforts I've managed to give it to my wife and 87 year old MIL. Both are in bed and I'm going up and downstairs with stuff.Mortgage Free November 2018

Thank you Staffordia, much appreciated. I'm sorry to hear the virus has invaded your household so badly, I hope their illness and your convalescence carry on through without any more trouble.
It sounds like my nephew's illness has finally bottomed out, after he came down with it on Tuesday. Sister's going to be over there tomorrow helping out, and Christmas is delayed until Monday. I've made the decision not to go to that on Monday, and not to go to my sister's Sunday substitute at her house either - she could be infectious and not know yet, 3 days in the house since the diagnosis. All concerned are being very kind, and I'm grateful for that.
I went out for my walk, met some little sausage dogsand readied my space to do the furoshiki, but I haven't done them yet - I'm not doing *shoulds* this year, though I actually managed to clean the kitchen floor properly 🤣 and life is comfier because of that.

A victory for my new determination to be more social. WhatsApp (two), texts, emails (three), phone, meeting in person, I've done it all this morning. Am extremely proud of myself 🤣🙄 Nothing about money at all 😛 though I do need to check that the message from NSandI was about what I think it's about.
Happy Christmas to all 🎄

Thanks beanie
I spent the afternoon out on a walk - it was lovely, but I had the wrong scarf on, not warm enough, so my jaw has been aching for hours. Which did ensure I sat down and watched The Boy, The Mole, The Fox And The Horse. Fantastic ⭐2023: the year I get to buy a car1 -
A clean kitchen floor is a great thing to have x

It really is, isn't it! I'm still happy about that, and still noticing when I walk in the kitchen 🤣
I wish there was also less illness about - sister and her little granddaughter have come down with the lurgyTreatment is good these days, but it *is* Christmas Day tomorrow, and finding treatment could be quite difficult
Nothing I can do about it, it's just not nice to think of.
ETA - and, as apple wrote, Happy Christmas to all on here, it's such a lovely community to be part of 🎄⭐☃2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -

Thank you apple
adventurous and fun filled are exactly my cup of tea
Lurgy free is the basic requirement
which is in short supply right now, as the northern contingent have had to cancel plans because of a covid case diagnosed yesterday.
Still, my January will be good: 11 days with my niece's cat staying with me 😺 while niece is in the Canaries.2023: the year I get to buy a car3
