  • Sorry things are a bit down right now KC. Maybe after this weekend the weather will pick up and spring might help lift your spirits? February always seems like a long month!

I think you're a tad optimistic about the weather, michelle;). All the forecasts I've seen/heard say next week is likely to be the coldest of the year so far:eek:

Well done for applying for your passport. We've had to renew our passports in the last two years. It's one of those things which you feel you really have to concentrate on so you don't make any mistakes, then feel exhausted when you've done it because you were focusing so hard!

Hope your days away are going ok

    I'm back early!

We were due to travel home today, but we bought tickets for Monday instead, as the forecast was so bad: travelling nearly 300 miles in snow, risking a train breakdown/blockage on the line etc, when we don't have to, doesn't make sense. Right now, I've got about two inches of snow outside, and its falling the heaviest I've seen it.

My brother, otoh, is thrilled to bits with the chance to drive a full van in snow  but he's got really, really good kit, and the bluetooth connectivity is good.

So, the final dispersal of everything is complete - feels very weird. More stuff got sent to the tip and the charity shops as well. There was a bit of difference when we arrived, but when we left the difference was very marked.

I'm going to take a bit of time this morning to catch up with a few general threads, then I have to get ready for the influx of stuff that will hopefully be coming my way later today

    Welcome home!

I think you were wise to come home early, what with the weather the way it is.

We had snow showers yesterday, but more organised snow overnight and this morning, although it's nice and sunny now. I think there's still more to come as well

Thanks Goldie! Yep, there definitely seems worse/as bad to come ... I find it all very tiring, though that might also be the sheer hard graft of clearing the house! I fell asleep on the train yesterday, and just had a teensy nap right now :o

Just got to work at unpacking things in the right way, and leaving enough energy for a potential drive up to London on Thursday for all three of us to see a nephew. Ninja driving skills required, while I loll about in the passenger seat :)

Morning! I've got a tip run to do for me, with my brother and sister this morning. And I have to clear the kitchen from the stuff that arrived yesterday, enough so that we can sit down to beans on toast or something after the tip run.

Minus ten out there right now! Not looking forward to it, but away we go.

One day soon, I'll be able to focus on selling on ebay and gumtree and whatnot.
