    Thank you all :)

Apple, really glad it worked out for you :)

I came back and got straight into sawing down a few more trunks and branches, now that the previous lot have been collected ... good lord, there's a lot of that laurel! Fewer branches, more trunks, was the adventure today, so after that I had a good long rest. As soon as I've caught up online now, I'll start (more) tidying - Christmas cards can go away, I'll put out a few Christmassy things.

What, blinging up the house, apple? Not for me, I'm afraid - this house is a bit too small, and a little bit too dusty for that to be a pleasant experience :rotfl:

Personal bling - for special occasions, I sometimes do that, even now :D and I have a date in March, as well as Christmas. College course reunion, from our postgrad counselling course, which finished in 1991

This Christmas: I *will* wear jewellery. I have no idea where my classics are, the ones I always wear, but I *will* wear jewellery :p

How lovely to get back in contact with your cousin. I know lots of people fall out over things, or step away from one another because of things that would be falling outs, but I (generally) think that life is too short in the vast majority of cases. The trust may be impacted and the relationships less close, but family, and the support within it is so important to our wellbeing.

I hope the chaos phase has moved on in that relationship.

DH posted out last Christmas cards on the way to work on Monday - all the international ones - the lovely people in the Post Office opened up the counter early so he could do so (stellar service)
