Broadband Query

Hi all,

Am currently with Sky for BB and line rental. We currently have fibre and now we have got rid of the TV package we are planning on using the amazon fire stick to watch all our TV through. Any one know if i will still be ok streaming on normal broadband so i can downgrade my BB to normal and save a bit extra?

We are saving every penny for our house deposit and are so close but just trying to cut back everywhere we can. Also dont have an aerial so cant get freeview.

It will all depend on what your ADSL speed is.

Put your phone number into this

https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome

It will tell you what your ADSL speed is. If it will not recognise your phone number because you are with Sky, then you will need to put your address/postcode in.

To stream reliably on ADSL you will need about 3-4Mb, depending on how many devices you have connected. If you have a lot of devices, then you will need a higher speed.
