I never remembered to lift something out and then what I made was yuck!

They ended up with pasta bake :rotfl:

Did you apply for the job?

Thank you, Alleywoman! :D This makes me feel disproportionately proud. I am under no illusions that it means that if little ol' me can do it, that anyone can!

I see no diary for you so far. Is that a state of affairs you might wish to remedy? ;)

I'm the same, but I'm going to have to be good about this now due to budgetary restrictions. I've made other mistakes as well, like not labelling what has gone into the container cos I can tell what it is by looking at it. I've learned to stick a label on my freezings so (most of the time) I know what I'm getting. I did have a neverending batch of bad minestrone that seemed to lose its labels a while back, for some reason (probably cos it knew I would never eat it if I knew what it was :rotfl:)

Job not yet applied for: I need to get a wiggle on and stop self-sabotaging, especially after how awful this week at work has been so far! :(

Ladies and gentlemen, I have been very anti-:money: and for the first time in a very long time BEEN TO THE PUB!:T

Don't worry...it wasn't ruinous - I spent just under £20 but after the last truly shocking 2 days at work and I went with a colleague who has had a really bad tine in his personal life the past few weeks, it was totally worth it and the best ad-hoc idea I have had in a long time! :T:rotfl:

Not going to lie: hasn't helped the job application, though! After the past two days I'm starting to think the change might be necessary as well, so I had better get a wiggle on!

Right, I had better get to bed. I'll need to wash my locks in the morning and I really NEED to apply for that job! :D

  • Hi PB

No diary yet, been reading diaries and gleening encouragement from other peoples situation and outcomes.

Thanks. It was better today. Didn't do the job application. Must do it now as I came home early to do it and all I have managed to do so far is empty the dishwasher and the washer and chat to some friends! :o

(Note to self: hang up washing on the airer, first.)

Well we will be happy to jump in and offer advice any time you feel that you want to, but spending time reading other diaries is very motivational, so carry on!:T

Other news: had a very cool lunch at work paid for by someone else so I'm happy with that (and suffed!) and got rid of some horrible work.

Washing and job applications, here I come...

    It was, thanks!

I hope your day improves, too. x

I was nearly very naughty last night after a glass or two of one of my preferred alcoholic beverages and bought something I wanted on the basis that it was a bargain. A £40.00 bargain, which was a £20 saving on what it normally retails for, but it's still something that I'm not going to die without.

Today, I was lucky that I could cancel the order.

I have told myself that I can buy myself this object once the CC is paid off as a reward for my good behaviour!

I will have my smartphone and laptop taken from me before I am allowed near any alcohol again! :A

  • Soo...some unexpectedly good news.

To cut a very long story short, I complained to a bank about some truly appalling service and got £210 compensation. :j:j:j

£200 has gone off my CC, £10 was the reimbursement of a fee that should not have been so high so has been given back to the person who paid it.

And £84 which was accidentally transferred into that account by a third person has also been paid off my CC (I may live to regret that as I might need it later in the month with all the money I lent, but I got a bit giddy. :p)

CC balance is therefore £2146.21 and that's not counting the money I will pay off it that I ought to have paid off it this month but have lent elsewhere! :j
