Nokia 6300 -has anyone tried an extended life battery?

Following a previous thread on the poor battery life of the Nokia 6300 I have seen some sellers are advertising extended life batteries. Is this just a sales gimmick or is there a better battery?
I have also seen that the sales jargon for one of the leather cases for the 6300 states it has elastic sides to accomodate for the larger extended battery. How would that be as you must be limited in size to the back cover?

the Battery life will depend on how many maH the battery is rated at... I think the standard one in the 6300 is around 830-870mah. If the batteries have a higher mah rating than that then they may last longer.. I would be a bit hesistant about using a non genuine nokia battery though.0
