It's worth pointing out that the "cashback" is actually vouchers for use in Asda. As long as that works for you it's a decent non-Amex cashback card.

Hi, and thanks as i didnt know that

Yes it's recently changed from cashback to ASDA vouchers. I've moved to Amazon Platinum now, same 0.5% but Amazon vouchers instead of ASDA ones as there isn't an ASDA near us. Both the same in terms of what you get back so I'd go with whichever would be most useful to you.

Yep I nearly cancelled when it changed to vouchers but I moving house soon so I will cash out and get some household essentials and decide then
  • We are fortunate in that we do a major weekly shop in Asda so the £3pm-2%-in-vouchers-back card works really well. The Asda fuel station is the cheapest in the area by far too.

I was vaguely surprised by the low(ish) credit limit they gave me though (only £4k) but that has now increased to £5.6k. I found Amex to be much, much more generous with the allowance (maybe that was because I stopped spending on Amex and so they kept increasing my limit?!).

Am I the only one still getting actual cashback on the Asda card? I've been waiting for the bad news since the change was announced way back in March but still no sign of my cashback changing to vouchers.
