Making the most of the Asda cashback credit card

I'm interested in the Asda Cashback Plus card (2% at Asda, 1% everywhere else) but it has a relatively low monthly credit of £1,200. My monthly spend on some months can be higher than this and I'm wondering if it's possible pay off the credit card balance before it is due. Some previous credit cards that I owned, do allow this so I'm hoping this is possible and a way for me to spend over £1,200 on the same credit card in a given month.
Can anyone confirm if this is possible?
If not then I'd need a secondary cashback card which is a bit annoying.

The 1200 is an example your limit could be more or less.My ASDA card started with £3000 limit and this has increased to over £5000.The card your looking at has the higher cashback reward but comes with a £3 monthly fee.0

Awesome, thanks for the quick reply. That's great news as I didn't want to do a two card juggle. Hopefully, I can get a high enough credit limit to cover my higher spending months. Yes, I had calculated that the Cashback Plus card would give me more cashback even when the £3 monthly fee had been factored in. Thanks for the warning though :-D0 -
No worries, Creation who run the ASDA card are normally quite generous with their limits and there is a eligibility checker to see if your likely to be approved. If you do apply it would be interesting to know what limit you get!0

If the limit isn't high enough then yes you can pay the card off at any time. The payment will show on the card within a day (maybe immediately, I've never checked to be honest) so your available balance will increase by the amount paid.0

My ASDA card takes a minimum of 10 days to show a credit paid even by faster payments
Debits show quickly
I got 5k straight off the bat0 -
Yep I transfer directly from my FD account but it takes over a week to show up on the online dashboard0

I've always paid by debit card and it shows on the online system in 2/3 days!0

Interesting, I didn't know about the ASDA Credit Card (I just checked the ASDA website and they do 3 types of Credit Card).
I have the Santander ALL-IN-ONE credit card and I get 0.5% cashback on all purchases but there is a £3 monthly charge). The £3 is waived for the first 6 months
As I am coming to the end of my 6 month fee free period I think I will apply for the ASDA Cashback credit card (1% at ASDA and 0.5% all other purchases and no annual fee)
Unless anyone can think of a better cashback fee free card?I have a tendency to mute most posts so if your expecting me to respond you might be waiting along time!0
