Can you tax a car on a bank holiday?

Title says it all. Looking to tax my new car on New Years Day. Will DVLA be open and update the database or is it best to play it safe and tax it online on the 2nd?

It's new and untaxed so not on the road regardless. Has anyone taxed a car on a bank holiday? As DVLA will definitely be shut all day.

DVLA online will be up and running.

The DVLA online VED application is 24/7/365, it doesn't ever shutdown apart from maintenance windows.

It's sat at the garage waiting for me until it's been taxed and insured so I can drive it home (been waiting for the holidays to pass and a new month to start) You a cop or something? :rotfl:

If you tax it you need insurance.
