You must ask the PPC for that data/evidence first, before making an ICO complaint.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

is it possible to use anything from a thread on here as proof of who driver is if no personal details or any particular PCN details have been posted?
Thanks0 -
We know that the ppcs monitor here and have used posts against defendant's previously which is why you constantly see warnings to make sure everything is anonymous.
Once posted even subsequently editing posts doesn't mean you are safe - old posts are available in the cache0 -

thanks, so if no personal information has been posted or any details identifying the actual pcn, It would be impossible to actually link a thread to a pcn up legally?0 -

Why do you ask? Have you an issue over this thread??
Often posters do put up unique info that does identify their case without realising.0 -
Further down the line you may well be writing a defence and then a witness statement. No doubt posting them here for scrutiny. Two further opportunities to mistakenly post information, like car park name, date and precise time of the event, car reg no, which when added together with the PPC name can create an accurate picture of precisely which claim is being discussed.
If in that hypothetical situation the PPC can then see that the driver is the same person as the keeper then their job becomes much easier.
I have no idea whether any PPC has tried to win a court case based on forum postings.
However, just before Christmas I did receive a PM showing exactly how a PoPLA appeal was lost because of careless posting like that.
Feel free to post what you like. You are of course free to take the guidance offered or ignore it.

Lami, by the way, smashed them on all 3 occasions! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You have edited posts so no-one knows what is held on a ppcs file you originally posted and subsequently changed.
The driver was identified and is still0
