Hope the hv got back to you and today was a better day.

Have you seen the new government help to save scheme, could be perfect for you. You can save upto £50 a month and after 2 years you get a nice bonus or you can do it for 4 years. Could be perfect for you.
  • I haven’t started reading this thread yet, but over the past few weeks I have read through your old threads Mooloo. Might seem odd but I was directed to them by a friend. (You really should write a book)
I am compelled to write a little post to tell you what an amazing wonderful mother and grandmother you are. I was raised by my granny as my mum just couldn’t cope despite help... I still saw her, knew she was my mum etc..but lived with granny. I’m now nearing 40 and happily married with children of my own..but had it not been for my gran I would have probably been in care. What you are doing for your grand daughter is amazing. Your an inspiration to me certainly..and a gem to your family.

    Thankyou for those lovely words.
I appreciate them today especially, more than ever.

I did get a call mid afternoon from the Health Visitors manager.
She listened and had read the boys case file before returning my call. They are already flagged for a referral, the next visit was due 24th April.
I said that I will have to intervene and clean tomorrow, but that I am concerned about the boys, that I am under no illusions about my son, and that I hope that they will do the referral sooner rather than later as they need help. I explained that I didn't want to call myself as I am going to be the enemy, and having lost grandchildren to the system I am wary . However I cannot stand by and not do anything.

On the work side I was kept busy, it's quite nice chatting and serving, but it means I am not sewing enough. I had plenty of collections, several new jobs in and £133 takings.
The school curtains were collected, the money will be bank transferred. They may want 4 more done.
BF has said he will help me if they do.
We had a good evening watching Escape to the Chateau which gave me the opportunity to show him the pictures of the house I was looking at. I told him that he needent worry as I am not in a position to buy, but I am fact finding for the future. I would have a place as a holiday home, and possibly run a few workshops in the spring and autumn. Possibly rent a place out to walkers, cyclists etc in between.
But I am not exactly anywhere near my dreams of course.

    Back to reality then.
BF just got a message on his phone, said he'd got to go and was gone. I asked what was wrong and he sort of mumbled and said tell you later.
    Doesn't sound good.
I hope that It is not very bad news!

Tote bag/lines for Swimming bag if necessary!
I best get my act together and get organised!
Still waiting to hear for BF why he had to dash out so quickly this morning. My curiosity is getting the better of me!

    Still nothing from BF.
One of my pupils Dad helped me to put the blinds back together. He was in the right place at the right time for me.
I see on Facebook that Biggest is getting a spaniel pub next week. It's going to be harder to say no to Dgd as it looks so cute!
I rang about delivery of the blinds, arranged for 4.30 Tuesday.
I reckon they will be the last blinds I make in a long time!

The sun has shown itself today, and I suppose that I should be going into the garden and cutting the lawn, but now I have finished work I just want to rest.

Feet up all evening, pork chops, mash potatoes and mixed veg for tea.
Pink sparkly wine as it was given to us on arrival at the caravan.
I have been reading up about how to buy property, Portuguese taxes and costs % to purchases etc

Is this Biggests way of slowing down?:rotfl:

It might just be me but isn't this just more work for her?

    Oh yes! It certainly is.

I don't know what they are thinking really. Especially with a new baby on the way and a husband who works abroad most of the time
Problem is I am really tempted to get one, Dgd has been asking for two years or more!
