BF came in time for tea. We went to bed early with a film on the tv (I never understood his need for tv before bed), and he was up at 5.45 to go to work. So I have been awake ever since!
I tried to go back to sleep but my over active brain cells would not let me.
So I have read emails, looked at my meagre finances, and faffing around on the iPhone in general. It's now actually time to get up!

So the plan is after the school run, I get to work and set up the workshop space for the huge curtains to be done.
Photograph the fabrics and get them up on line.
Sort out 10 more pieces. Measure and cut as much of the curtains as I can, while Biggest is in the shop. Stop at 2.30 when she goes, and continue with alterations until 4pm
At 4pm when Shop closes hopefully I will get an hour more on the curtains.
Tomorrow Dgd is once again going to Biggest, so I can teach etc in peace.
I will need to make sure that I clear away the curtains etc and set up for the classes tonight.

Mooloo, if I was to send you the covers off a foam three-piece mattress, along with photos and measurements of each section, is this something you'd be able to do via post?

I can do it, although it is not so easy to always get a perfect fit if there are curved corners etc. But I have done it before.
I used my covers from my sofas to recover them.

I have spent 7 hours sewing the big curtain for the private school, it is so heavy I am struggling a little this evening.
I think I have about two more hours left to finish it.

When it's done I will be happy.
A steady flow of work in and out today.
Biggest was in, but she really didn't look too well. This pregnancy is not going to be a breeze for her like her previous two.

    Oh no!
What's your colour scheme/ preference so I can look and see what I have. I was starting with my dress lengths of fabric so I had probably better seek out some fabric suitable for cushions etc separately.
    I have so much stuff!!!

Floor tiles are pale pink & pale gray.
    Current covers are purple ginham:D
    Pity they dont fit:rotfl::rotfl:

    Are they too small/too big?
    Can they be altered?

If you pm me photos etc I will see what I can do. It will make a change from alterations.

Less sewing as teaching day. Two zips in jeans and a zip in a big coat. Started patchwork pieces of a skirt that needs 6" added to it. How am I doing that?
I have unpickedthe waistband and using the back of the band added 2x3" panels in the sides of the band, and backed it with plain fabric. Then the remaining part of the band has been cut into two. Then into triangles. The triangles joined together and are now ready to be inserted in the side seams!
Is it worth it? I hope so!

My latest star pupil has finished making her sewing machine cover in the form of a cupcake can.
Next week she's going to catch up on the skirts we did last week. I showed her how the demo was done and she has bought a reel of shirring elastic to practice.
I spent a couple of hours with Biggest helping her sort out the paperwork from the Youth club as the treasurer has resigned.
All sorted. But I don't understand where this years stuff is as it's not there. I guess the chairwoman has got them. I hope so.
I have a chicken casserole in the oven for tea. Actually I have two so I can freeze one.
I am going to see if my hands will let me play and make some coin purses out of the scraps I was given.
