Nightmare about the car - there's always something! Hopefully once all that's done, it should need less for the forseeable?

Fingers crossed that's the old car patched up for a long time homegrown.

I'm hoping not to touch the EF tea and have a tight June instead. It'd be too easy just use EF cash but I find it harder to get it back.

Daughter is having a great time despite a bit of rain. She'll be back tomorrow and I can't wait. I've really missed her.

Hi CG :) Hope you've had a nice start to the school hols. I know exactly what you mean about taking money from somewhere, it never seems to find it's way back does it :o

Glad DD is enjoying her trip. Bet she can't wait to see you either :) xx

She's home with a huge bag of wet and dirty washing. Tired and a little sunburnt, but she's had a great time.

I've a doh moment! I've had to move £300 out of the EF as old car in garage today and of course hubs hasn't been paid yet! I could have let it push us into the OD but i don't wa t to have to rely on it! Cash moved will get final bill this afternoon. This will wipe out our joint account completely but I do feel happier knowing won't have used the OD.

Have a lovely couple of housey days just tidying, sorting and hopefully baking planned. Won't be spending anything until Friday as no money to spend! Need to nip to buy a couple of bits from go outdoors and will treat the kids to a harvester tea. We've not eaten out in a long time so it's a treat without breaking the bank.

My esa should have been paid today but no sign yet. Will withdraw it all for shopping when it does arrive. The monster meat shop and batch lady meal planning has saved us a fortune so far and freezer still laden. Going to make h/m pizza today with some h/m chips. Need few bits of veg/fruit but can wait until ESA arrives.

Hi CG :) Glad DD enjoyed her residential. I forgot to send DS with a black bag for his dirty stuff so everything needed washing even though he'd not worn it :o

Hope the ESA goes in your account as planned. We should have had something paid in yesterday, why in this world of technology a Bank Hol or weekend still has an impact on finance I've no idea. Anyway, we're still waiting

I really like that we rarely eat out because when we do it's genuinely a real treat as long as the food is OK that is :rotfl: Enjoy yourselves. xx

There wasn't a clean item left! She packed herself and judged it well most of it has been washed and dried today. It's been thrown into the mound of ironing to be ignored for a few days :rotfl:

The car wasn't as much as we'd thought to repair £270 as the calliper wasn't stuck. Feel like our luck is changing at last. Will move £50 back to EF as hubby put £20 of fuel in.

I know we get so used to everything being done in a nano second now. I just hope they've not had a blip and kicked me off! I've sent a new sick note and medical form as they e requested. I'm afraid I just don't have much faith in the system after the pip claim issues. Fingers crossed we both see the money tomorrow.

The day before pay day. Certainly feels like the longest month ever. Nothing much to report.

Both surveys sites have paid out and I've moved the cash across to my sealed pot bank account. I originally set my target at £500 but have just doubled it. The bank account total is £621.71 which I'm over the moon with! All made from Cash back, surveys and selling things.

Hubby has been potting his small change but our budget for food so tight there's nothing coming from that yet.

That is an amazing achievement Choccy! What a fantastic sum to be at - how long have you been doing this for?

    I'm impressed :)

I've no idea what's in my sealed pot - actually the surprise element gives me motivation to continue! A couple of pounds here and there all adds up.

I started it at the new year and have been really strict with myself. Every penny from Quidco, surveys and selling has been locked away. I found it easier having the bank account rather than taking odd £ here and there. I'm chuffed to bits and know that Christmas is nearly covered. 1k would give us plenty for kids, food and treats.

Pay day at last after what seems like the longest month ever! My car needs it's service after the light has come on. Was hoping it'd be ok until July but have bitten the bullet and booked it in with the dealer. Did barter the cost down and they agreed to knock £40 off as always go to them. Completely not budgeted for this, so raiding the EF again! Have already taken the cash out which means we're down to £1000.21.

A couple of DDS have already gone out but majority showing as pending. Rent and pip payments due this month so hoping to squirrel some away from our holiday. Think the EF will have to wait a couple of months.

Hit another £5 on prolific, so withdrawn it and will add it to the sealed pot whe it's cleared.
