For every person who hates a place there is one who loves it. My worse holiday was Tunisia while a work mate returned for many years.

I liked the Dominican Republic.....but there are nicer places to go and sit on a beach in a resort you won't leave.

My mums sister must have returned to the same place in Spain on the same complex for 10-15 years.
But she loved it..........the thought of sitting on any beach for long periods is enough to put me off.

What I think has been hinted at but not clearly suggested is that you cancel, pay the fee, and rebook the same thing at the reduced price, If still available and that's what you want - if that would be cheaper overall. But as said, you have not been 'ripped off' and you should edit your thread title.
    Evolution, not revolution
  • I bought a nice shirt in M&S a couple or so years ago - soon after it was in the sale at 50% off.

That's how these things work - if your holiday had gone up in price, would you have expected TUI to ask you to stump up the extra cost ?

I'm presuming the OP has already been on this holiday, else how did his daughter think that having a holiday next December would help after an already tough year at uni?
