The problem with this is that the OP has stated that the price of the holiday has increased a fair bit since they made their booking so if they cancel and still want to go on the trip, when they rebook for just the 2 people, they will then have to pay the increased price.

If money is tight then my thoughts were to lose £75 and not go

Can you break down the finance more clearly?

£800 PAID and £750 to pay so total cost £1550

    What amount has each paid?

If you change the booking to 2 people what is the total cost of the holiday now?

What do A& B now have to pay ( A &B being to two people still going) less what they have already paid

What happens to the money that C has already paid?
  • Sorry if this is all confusing. I phoned the travel agent again today and they apologised as they told me the wrong information yesterday. We have been left with the following choices.

    1. for passenger C to pay 50 for the name change. she has paid 343 so far so minus the deposit and price for name change she would be due 268 back.

    2. to cancel the entire holiday and we would lose 600 so 200 each.

    3. To remove passenger c from the booking and she would lose 200 and only be due 120 back. However this increases the holiday price for Passenger A and B by 60 each.

We are currently struggling to find another passenger and there has been alot of tension with this. Passenger C is quite set on option C and myself and passenger B are leaning towards this as we are sick of the hassle.

    Thankyou all for your help.

Been on various holidays with the guys and we didnt bicker, none of us backed out due to a falling out. Seems to the ladies who have a falling out and back out of a holiday.
  • For the sake of £60 I'd say option 3. But where are you going in May that's costing £500 each? May is generally the cheaper time to book, even more so if you'd booked it all yourself
    :T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one :) :beer::beer::beer:
  • Yes, where are you going? lol i'll come! lol

    or

    4. Remove passenger C from the booking.
This would result in a refund of £120 being due.

Use this £120 to cover the increase in the holiday price for passengers A & B (£60 each) so the only person to lose out would be passenger A.

She won't like it but it was her decision not to travel so why should the other 2 passengers lose out because of her choice?

This has definitely been mentioned although as you can expect the reaction wasn't great!
